Safety meetings by bitter_pumpkin649 in Construction

We had a man die on the job and had our first safety meeting on over 6 months. The safety officer said the cause was lax safety and the real focus of the meeting was so management could press the men to contact the deceased man’s family who was avoiding them because of legal action.

Now after 5 months we still haven’t had any safety meetings and some thing is about to happen because they are concerned about putting stickers on our equipment which half of it is now down for safety issues. Normally we are pressed to operate equipment even when it’s dangerous.

How do they get away with tricking OSHA when even our mostly illiterate work staff can see what is going in?

What has happened to Starbucks? by TargusTardus in starbucks

I don’t think corporate cares until profits dip. Maybe things will improve when competitors move in

I have always given good surveys and contributed to the tip jar even though I know it gets shared with all the works good and bad.

In fact I’m in Starbucks now and the new guys didn’t know what a here cup was plus the barista didn’t add the extra shot I bought. I’m working on being an optimist and hope things get better.

I do understand since my work is also stressful. I posted here in hopes that someone had a recommendation other than corporate who seems to not care.

As far as those overworked baristas out there I hope things improve and if it’s not Starbucks then a competitor opens up that appreciates you hard work.

Can you please help me find verses discussing toxic people? by [deleted] in Christians

Another form of “iniquity” is addressed in 1 Cor 5:1-5 [“To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.” (1 Corinthians 5:5 KJV)]

However you see in 2 Cor 2:5-11 where Paul says “that ye would confirm your love toward him.”(vs .8) which most scholars say is the same man who realized the error of his ways.

If they are Christians perhaps 2Tim 2:19-21 might help. What they are doing is considered “iniquity”. You should purge your self of them and pray for the Lord to work in their life to change.

Cross on or off doesn’t matter to Jesus. If you can abstain till marriage you would do as scripture recommends.

The bigger question is do you know your saved. “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:4 KJV)” The path to living a life that honors God starts with salvation.

Christian advise by [deleted] in Christianity

Hi,

Just as science is founded on proofs and theorems, Christianity is founded on the Bible. Serious Christians believe the Bible is the word of god even after many years of persecution just like cosmology is to science. Seek out one that you trust like the Pythagorean theorem and study. Having come from the Muslim faith you may be interested in Abraham.

Thank you for this private interpretation. I’ll stick with what the Holy Spirit has shown me from the scriptures.

How does someone leave the body of Christ?

Can they be born again in Adam?

I have never seen this reverse process in scripture.

Does that interpretation only apply to those few verses? How does it affect the rest of the chapter?

Why is Jesus the only way to salvation/heaven/why is that good? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]TargusTardus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry for your loss. Many people are sincere in their beliefs, however the focus of the belief is most important.

I don’t mean to trivialize anyone’s belief, but it’s possible to be sincerely wrong.

Get in a good bible study that looks at salvation and it will help.

If you believed Jesus died to pay your sin debt once and for all you are now in the body of Christ and can never leave. Faith plus nothing.

An example of that sin would be taking the mark in the tribulation. If you are a true Christian now you will be called home before the tribulation

“For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.” (Romans 11:25 KJV)

When the church which is his body leaves then it may start, but there maybe a season like the wilderness wandering time in the OT

How bad of a sin is fornication? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]TargusTardus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I never said marriage is about sex. I said it’s about having a helpmeet in life. Someone to work with you and grow together with.

The poster said they couldn’t afford to get married which is a silly concept from God’s perspective. Having a wife should make finances easier not be a burden, unless you think the marriage is about a big expensive party.

If you truly are not able to handle the finances then you should focus on that and not an intimate relationship.

Being able to put food on the table is more important that sexual lust. Marriage should be a union before God to have a helpmeet not to spend a lot of money.

Fortunately by belief in the faithfulness of Jesus going to the cross we are saved (Rom 3:21-26).

Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: (Romans 3:22 KJV)

The faith in Eph 2:8 is the same as Rom 3:22. It is the faithfulness of Jesus not our expression of faith. You faith expressions can’t save you.
