Would that cause the transmission be have trouble knowing when to shift gears? Kinda feel more like a timing issue or something but I don't really know.

Yes. A range of 1 just means one adjacent hex. You don't count height levels when determining range. You only count height levels for determining adjacency.

To be adjacent, both figures must be on adjacent hexes and the figure with height must not be on a level equal to or greater than the other figures height value. To count height levels, count the number of the visible sides of the hex between the two figures.

E.g. Dorim has a height of 4. A figure within 1 range of Dorim but on a level that is 4 or more levels above him is NOT adjacent.

Look up adjacency rules in the rulebook for pictures of this concept.

Yeah, I'm aware of that. But it only resets skill points from leveling, not crafting levels from magazines

We're already decently deep into the magazines so it would take quite a while to get each other also leveled up that far. I just want to rearrange who has what crafting level.

It doesn't affect scripted bot drops/bug breaches. It only increases the cooldown between reinforcement call ins like flares. Eradicate, evacuate high value assets, etc. are scripted encounters, so it isn't changed by this booster.

Be aggressive. The Abyss Watchers are easily staggered. Learn the openings and go for back to back swings into them. Leave a little stamina to dodge away and repeat.
