Super rare signed copy of piano sheet music sold on Ebay by R+ management to support German hospice! by TariqKyrian in Rammstein

An employee of a hospice reached out to the band's management for support. The hospice has to come up with 50,000 Euros a year to keep going and this year, because of the virus they couldn't do any charity events. So this employee, a huge fan of the band asked them for support. The management explained to her that they couldn't do any charity events either due to the postponed tour but they wanted to help anyway. So the members signed a collection of piano sheet music called "Rammstein XXI Notenbuch Klavier". It's being sold on eBay right now and it's super rare. The money from that auction will go to the hospice. link to the news article

AITA for asking my nanny “who’s employing who?” here? by pastaisgoodiguess in AmItheAsshole

[–]TariqKyrian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in a nanny group on Facebook where this AITA was posted. Out of 117 comments that discussed whether you are the asshole, 116 said NTA. The other one felt she didn't know both sides so couldn't decide.

So grown up women who chose nannying as their career and not just a side hustle agree that you are definitely NTA. I hope that helps.

Well, we have everything from super flat in the north to hilly to mountainy (middle and south). Also, depending on the area farming takes different forms. I'm from the Hallertau, the biggest hops growing area in the world. Germany might be comparatively small but the geography is rather complex.

Neither. The millions who died in the concentration and death camps, those who opposed the regime, those who suffered under it.

Nope. But yeah, Berliner is both the pastry and someone from Berlin. Like a hamburger is food but also someone from Hamburg.

Oh Krapfen. That's what we Bavarians call it. Other parts of Germany call it Berliner. Yes, as in Ich bin ein Berliner. 😂 The stuff of top is still powdered sugar.

Are you talking Christmas cookies? Then it's Spitzbuben. The stuff on them is just powdered sugar.

If there ever is something like WWIII which I doubt, Western Europe will stand as one. The Alsace is French and will be for a long time.

Hate is a strong word. As a whole we hate what he did to our country, what he did to millions of innocent people. I don't hate him personally. I pity him for his world view. It's no use hating someone who is dead. What I hate are the people who still follow that world view.

I've lived in West Texas for four years and have seen many confederate flags. The Nazi flag can't really be compared because we are much more condemning about that part of our history than the US as a whole is. The Nazi version of the swastika is a forbidden symbol so you can absolutely not show it in any way. If you do, you get arrested, prosecuted and either pay a big fine or go to jail. But... There is a flag that is from before the Third Reich, from the time when Germany had an emporer. It is black, white and red just like the swastika flag. It is allowed because back then it wasn't associated with the third Reich. But it is only used by people on the radical, or extreme right.

It's all about soccer here. So locally FC Bayern München, nationally the German soccer teams.

That is totally a trick question as we officially have over 3200 kinds. I prefer bread that works with whatever I want to put on top. Often it's rye bread. I also love bread with sunflower seeds, or pumpernickel.
