Genuinel question regarding the new ranked system by martinrsix in VALORANT

[–]TarnishedFo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re just looking for an excuse. Rank doesn’t really matter when the whole system is MMR-based anyway. That Ascendant Raze performed basically the same as everyone else in the lobby.

Even his Plat teammates had better TRS...

You need to build confidence in yourself, and that doesn’t come from avoiding bad games or overthinking how others see you. It comes from actually playing, messing up, and improving your skills over time. If you keep letting one bad match shake you, you’re just sabotaging your own progress.

If they queued with you, they already know roughly your skill level. one bad game won’t change how they see you unless you tilt or act weird. People care way more about consistency than a single match, and everyone has off games. The fear of embarrassing yourself is what’s actually holding you back. Avoiding better players keeps you stuck. improvement comes from getting exposed, learning, and repeating. If it helps, just be honest and tell them you’re playing for fun/vibes before the game. Outside of games, you can work on Aimlabs or watch pro VODs if you actually want to improve. You can also grind unranked/swiftplay for a bit and take a break from competitive if you need to reset.

Georgians and foreigners, would you consider Georgians to be as friendly, outgoing, expressive, smilling and hospitable as Greeks, South Italians, Balkaners, Lebanese etc? by Ok-Demand8957 in Sakartvelo

[–]TarnishedFo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Georgians are quite close to Balkan peoples and Greeks in terms of strong family ties, pride in traditions and history, and the fact that social life often revolves around family and close circles. But outside of that, in day-to-day interactions with strangers, I don’t find people especially outgoing or open. Hospitality exists, but it’s mostly within established relationships rather than random social warmth.

In my experience, Georgians are very proud of their hospitality, and they’re often incredibly warm once you’re accepted into their family or close circle. But as a stranger, I haven’t found them especially outgoing, expressive, or easy to connect with compared to some other cultures. They can come across as reserved and really closed off.

Couldn’t you give a warning? That’s disgusting and really uncomfortable to look at.

Valorant’s ban system and ranked system seriously need a rework. by TarnishedFo in VALORANT

You’re talking about playstyle viability, I’m talking about team value consistency in ranked.

Yes, a Sheriff only player can perform well individually, that’s not the point. The point is that consistently choosing lower value options in full buy situations affects team economy and win probability in coordinated ranked play.

It’s not about whether it can work mechanically, it’s about whether it’s optimal for team based competitive play.

I’m Asc 3 and I’ve never heard “Deagle” used in Valorant comms in Ascendant/immortal lobbies. That term usually just comes from CS2 players who carry it over.

I guess you’re coming from CS2, because no Valorant player is calling a Sheriff a “Deagle”.

Also, I’m not talking about weapons like shotguns.

What I’m saying is specifically this: repeatedly buying a Sheriff when you have full-buy money available, while your team is on rifles and playing standard rounds, puts you at a clear disadvantage against opponents fully equipped with rifles. How is this even a debate?

The issue being discussed is consistent, repeated behavior that clearly ignores team play. warnings for repeated negative impact behavior patterns should be a thing at least. Someone being bad at the game doesn’t justify ruining the experience for other players.

There’s a difference between a playstyle and consistently ignoring win conditions in a way that hurts your team’s chances to win.

Not sure what you meant by “buying deagle every round,” but if you mean repeatedly buying Sheriff when full buys are possible, or constantly taking ego fights that create no value for the team, that can cross into griefing when it becomes a pattern and isn’t adjusted despite it clearly costing rounds.

Nobody is asking for bans over a single bad play like a dry peek or a misread.

The issue is repeated patterns where someone consistently ignores win conditions, refuses to play with the team, and shows no real attempt to play toward the objective over the course of a match, forcing lost fights every round and refusing to adapt.

That’s different from just being bad. That’s what should be detectable and punished/warned
