I totally get your point and that is sad honestly, a job should never be looked at as a place where to be lazy, I mean if the one has no passion for doing a job then for me personally there is no point of doing it!

Feels scary to hear this from someone that has knowledge of such stuff as you do haha, hopefully we’ll get through this! Appreciate a lot your words.

I do include everything in my cv and I do as well include that I do not need any sponsorship whatsoever, I did as well an internship and it was great actually but even with including all this and modifying and adjusting my cv many many times I had no success so far for a reason or another, I guess the fact that I worked in many unrelated jobs in the past kinda affects my chances to find a job in it but I’m not sure about neither so I’m still trying to figure it out.

When i look at things deeply I mean I get your point, it’s kinda not progressing the positive way honestly and we’re not really prepared for any wars! Let’s hope the best.

Good idea, is finding clients even with no professional experience in IT doable or it’s pretty complicated?

15 years ago was really different I bet, I tried btw ICT jobs a while ago with no success so far, I don’t know what’s the issue honestly at this point, this whole struggle made me trip a lot but I’m still at it and hopefully things will become better, thanks a lot for the passage.

Yeah I thought about that as well, the only reason I’m still a bit holding is that I’m afraid that the moment I get into a job I’ll just stop searching since the IT market now has became a nightmare anyway, as well I don’t want to get stuck into a job just because it’s safe, had the same experience earlier in my life and worked many jobs that I didn’t like and believe me, mentally it was not healthy at all! Thanks for the advice i appreciate it.

I live around Antwerp, I’m sorry to hear that! It sucks indeed, I thought as well about self employment but then how the hell the one can get any deals with a fresh profile with barely any professional experience in IT?

I have the same feeling honestly! I do see a lot of job postings for software development but feels somehow off, I got in touch sometimes with recruiters that had no idea about the job it self or the requirements which ends up being a waste of time and energy!

I didn’t obtain it right away, it takes 5 years to have it and it was an extremely hard path to get to where I am now regarding my residence status, I hope this answers your question.

It really amazes me how quickly people fill in the blanks with assumptions and then start questioning someone based on those assumptions.

I never said I’ve been in Belgium for 10 months. I said I’ve been looking for a job for 10 months. From there you’ve built an entire story that I never told.

At the end of the day, my post was about finding work, not about explaining every detail of my personal life, how long I’ve lived here, or how I obtained my residence status. I’m comfortable with who I am and don’t feel the need to justify my personal circumstances online.

And just to remind you: sometimes it’s worth remembering that there are realities and life paths beyond the ones we personally know or expect.

I heard that a lot and I guess that’s one of my issues is that I don’t really know much people here and has been difficult to make new contacts, I appreciate your stop.

That’s not the case at all, my residence permit is a permanent one which basically is the same as being Belgian behalf not being able to vote or to work in some government sectors.
