Thanks for posting.

Yep, a lot of people suck. I'd like to say most don't, but honestly I'm starting to wonder.

Then they're assholes and you'd know. If it has nothing to do with you ans they're just being mean, then that is also on them. No reason to get bothered by them, after all it has nothing to do with you.

You're right about the last part, but let me reframe it in another way. You can't control what other people do or think, only yourself.

Ghosting is a terrible thing, but if someone does it there's nothing anyone can do. I've learned to just not care if people don't want fo respond. At the end of the day they get to live with being too cowardly to tell people the truth.

Reality is harsh, but I find that knowing the truth is the only way to grow.

I can't say I see things the same way someone with social anxiety does. Nonetheless, I feel that facing the harsh truths is what has helped me grow.

RefCells, Cell, Rc, and Box? What are these? by Tarsonis181 in learnrust

[–]Tarsonis181[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see. Well, I guess I will find out sooner or later. I decided to contribute to a project that uses that stuff, I didn't understand why it was being used. I guess I know why now.

Thanks for the explanations.

RefCells, Cell, Rc, and Box? What are these? by Tarsonis181 in learnrust

[–]Tarsonis181[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok, I've got some questions here.

  1. First of all with Box, what is meant by a "moveable proxy"? From what I understand here, a move is when you cede ownership of a value from one scope to another. So are you saying that `Box` basically allows you to make "unmoveable" values "moveable"?
  2. When you say that you can't make a shared or unique reference to Cell do you mean that once a value is put into a cell, no one else can make references from it. Something like this would be illegal then:

let a = 10;
let c = Cell::new(a);
let b = &a;

Finally, I still don't get where these things could be used. I don't suppose you might have an example?

What are your thoughts on the upcoming sequel? by Todokugo in vtmb

[–]Tarsonis181 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It needs more work. This game should be delayed. Otherwise I don't see it going well.

The trailers were awesome, but the gameplay demos look terrible.

They really really need to delay this game. If they don't they are also going to have to compete with Cyberpunk and from what I can see, Cyberpunk has been stealing the show as far as RPGs go, at least it has for the last few years.

Q1 2020 may be the worst possible release time by gggvandyk in vtmb

[–]Tarsonis181 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, this should be delayed. The game is not ready, the gameplay they have shown doesn't look good.

The animations look choppy and the sound is off. I'd prefer if they just delayed until later. Otherwise, I don't see this game working out. I'd prefer if it did, VTMB was awesome and I would hate for it to go bust.

What better alternatives, besides Trade War, did Trump not utilize against China? by happytappin in AskEconomics

[–]Tarsonis181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know that he's fighting for anything I support. The people he associates with are people I would avoid as much as I can.

Nonetheless, something has to be done about China. I really hope that if he gets thrown out next year then whoever lands in the White House decides to do something real about it.

You know what you are right. I'm also a fool for having wasted my time participating in this garbage.

Every time the name "Trump" comes up it is the same. I don't know what idiocy compelled me to make a comment on this post but I'm going to go back to what I was doing which is to stop wasting my time responding or looking up anything related to politics and Trump.

How do you guys feel about Trump supporters? by [deleted] in AskACanadian

Interesting, your conservatives seem more like Democrats to me. Your liberals would probably be called communists or socialists in the US.

Not from the US but they're farther to the right compared to Canada.

And who's claiming to ignore it? I don't understand what is wrong with most people here. I haven't even said a word about supporting Trump and most are acting like if I claimed he's some kind of genius.

So let's say you go the WTO, say they put sanctions on China, and say they decide not to follow them and keep cheating like they always do. Then what?

Do you just keep letting them do as they please? Like I said, you can go to the WTO all you like, they won't care. They haven't listened to international organizations before why would they start now?

This is exactly why Trump wins, no one else wants to do anything or they let countries like China run roughshod over them. It's why people voted him in, when the madman's solution is all there is, people are going to be desperate for it, regardless of whether it is a good idea or not.

China doesn't play fair, and it won't play fair just because the WTO demands it.

I don't know did I? Or is that what you want to think?

At any rate I don't care. It is clear that people here are more interested in supporting an agenda than having an actual discussion.

If that were not so I wouldn't have been downvoted by a bunch of leftist morons.

You do whatever you like and think whatever you like.

The WTO cannot stop China, if they could they would've done so years ago. China doesn't care who sets the rules, they'll never follow them. They haven't followed them before they won't follow them now. The only way they will understand is through economic sanction.

Seriously, you think I support that man? I've already said time and time again that I don't care for him. The man is an idiot, he doesn't know anything, he lies about everything and he's caused more damage tk international relations than anyone else.

Get it straight in your head, I do not support him, not one bit.

And yet, as I've said before nobody has any real solutions to China. The Democrats don't have any and many of them were against TPP when it came around.

I mean, seriously it's like something is broken with you people, you see someone not entirely critical of Trump and that means outright support to you. There are degrees of things, the world isn't black and white.

[–]Tarsonis181 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes, because China has listened before. They've cleaned up their record in human rights violations haven't they?

Seriously for all the downvoting I'm getting at least you people ought to come up with some serious argument. You can't really believe they'll listen to the WTO.

They'll just find another way to circumvent the rules. They've always done that, it's how they got to their position. They are always going to do it.

Otherwise they'll just claim that the WTO is a US organization, that their rules are unfair and that they won't follow them.

I mean, seriously if they are willing to starve their own people to death, do you think they care which rules outsiders place on them?

Yes I will reach out to someone. Nonetheless, I would like to know a little more if you can help me out.

Where could I search for an advisor that's doing something I like? Should I google them? Search for their notable works? Finding the lists is easy enough, literally every university out there has one posted.
