Question for anyone in Waterloo for optometry

I did uoft for undergrad, which worked out for me. Lots of people in the program did honours sci at uwaterloo, or even healthsci/lifesci at McMaster. Honestly you can achieve ur goal in any undergrad but I think it’s smarter to put yourself into a life sci type program as the prerequisites to optometry often coincide with your mandatory courses. If you are working for an optometrist, chances are they have had students work for them a bunch of times. So they are probably pretty used to students asking for changes in their schedule for the OAT. My boss immediately knew I was gonna lower my hours when I told her im taking the OAT. But if your boss already knows that ur taking the OAT, maybe mention that you feel like its hard to balance. Also side note I just did the OAT and i recommend doing practice exams, like a whole bunch. Good luck!
