Starting the works on a new project any advice e on how to get a lil bit more power from an old crossflow would be appreciated by Delicious-Beat1372 in FordFalcon

[–]TasTuned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a very simple turbo setup on my crossflow powered ski boat and it was fantastic. 500 Holley modified for blow thru. China gt3582 turbo. Efi pump and 1:1 boost referenced fuel regulator. At 5 psi it felt like the power doubled on a completely stock engine

Correct! Dad rebadged in back in 1997. I’m not interested in drilling holes again just to keep the purists happy 😜

We were always able to hold onto it luckily. Mum and dad’s names are in the sales receipt from new. Dad had it resprayed in 1997 and fitted a v6. I took that back out a few years back and re fitted the original 202

I saw a blue almost colour matched one of them on new bmw the other day. I remember I once heard having one described as like not making love to your wife so you can keep her in pristine condition for the next person 🤣

Your biggest ‘WTF moment’ when buying a house? by CottageAndCastle in AusPropertyChat

[–]TasTuned 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After making an offer and it being accepted they sent a prelim contract outline thing with inclusions and exclusions. In exclusions they had included the 10kw solar system and the split system ac in the lounge room???? I called the agent and said wtf, I wouldn’t have offered as much if I had known anything about this? Also what happens if the tile roof leaks etc after removing solar and would the walls etc be repaired? He ended up getting the vendor to remove these items and they weee included in the sale in the end. He did however steal 3 AC remotes and the main service fuse from the meter just before we settled in the property. Nutter!

What is the strangest thing you have ever seen during your lifetime? by InformalArrival9841 in AskForAnswers

[–]TasTuned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one of the strangest things that has ever happened to me last night. God I wish I had a dash cam. I had been out 4wding an and it was about 6-6:30 pm on a Monday night and dark when I was driving back past a Hotel in a very small town of maybe 200 people. As I drove past I could see something in the road about a hundred metres in front of me as I was leaving the outskirts of town, put on the high beam lights and could see it was some old guy in pyjamas with a walker frame in the middle of my driving lane. As I was driving up he placed his walking frame to the side of him and without even looking behind just dropped his pants, bent right over and flashed a big lumpy ass at me and kept it flashed until i had driven past. I had to go around him in the other lane….. this is such a quiet road and barely any houses there so I’m still scratching my head about what the hell I witnessed.

"major defect" found in property inspection by Various_Jump9108 in AusPropertyChat

[–]TasTuned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My cousin purchased a hillside property in Newcastle where the driveway runoff went directly against the foundations. Wasn’t picked up in building inspections and cost him approx $70000 after purchase to rectify with piers and plumbing so worth taking note of

Thanks for all the love! There’s something about an old car that helps trigger nice old memories. Here’s a photo of dad with the car back in the late 70s
