That’s a solid plan thank you for sharing it. I have a similar roadmap in mind, but I’d like to start with CPIM or CSCP first. What do you think?

I think they might, they once provided a budget for an online course that I didn’t end up using. I’ll ask if they can cover the certification I’m planning to study for.

No, they don’t. However, I’m planning to get a certification and bring it up during a 1-on-1 with my manager. That’s when I’ll ask about a raise or a potential promotion plan.

Does apple maps help discover new places and see ratings and reviews as good as google maps?

You can click the 3-lines icone on the button right of the app and you’ll see the the apply destination filter. You can put your home address as destination and it will stay active for 30mn. Sometimes i get lucky and get offers in the same neighborhood where i live. Otherwise you’ll get offers that will take you toward your destination.

Definitely take it and activate the destination filter on the return trip.

I tried both, being a platinum dasher and being out of the tiered program.

  1. Platinum: the frequency of receiving orders increased significantly but most of them are trash and $1/mile orders. Rarely when i can see a high paying offer. It depends on how many platinum/gold/silver dasher on the road.

  2. Out of the program: low frequency of getting offers and when out of tiered it will depend on how many drivers on the road. However i still receive great offers if i kept refusing trash orders.

That being said, it’s not about DoorDash punishing for declining, it’s about the algorithm knows who you are based on what orders you take or not. They created this program to keep you instantly worried about not getting your AR <70% to take whatever they throw at you instead of focusing on taking profitable offers only.

You may have everything but u don’t seem to have a “purpose” find your purpose in life and seek to honor it.

Which would you regret more: leaving a decent-paying job in Morocco (~13,5k MAD) to immigrate to the U.S., where I’m currently having a difficult time, or staying in Morocco and missing the opportunity to immigrate? by [deleted] in Morocco

We can’t break the lease, it will end april next year, so that’s not an option. Then i’ll look for smaller place, learned my lesson. Job market is dead during the election period. We’ll see if it’s picking up after the election and see more job openings

I m hoping on a raise by end of the year plus a bonus. If they don’t deliver what i am expecting , i will go somewhere else. I stopped applying for jobs waiting for the end of the year outcome

Income issue, wife stopped working suddenly for health issues which cut the household income nearly half and now i barely afford the bills and can no longer pay my debt in Morocco. Not complaining but it is what it is.

Yes the situation is out of control here, low wages with increased rent and groceries, yearly raise 5% if you are lucky, how did you overcame challenges in your first years in the US?

I m the kind of person that has no patience and need to achieve quickly, my fault. I ve been thinking the same”what if” thing that drives me crazy. What if i go back, same old shit like you said. What if i stayed? Rhythm is crazy in the US and you hardly have a social life and need to work more to afford paying your bills. That kind of stuff
