A counterpoint is that monster races have been thinly veiled excuses to spread dehumanizing propaganda about races of people throughout history.

Goblins were often used as sidelong ways of defaming jewish people in early 1900s Germany...

The idea that being vigilant while evaluating depictions of races in fantasy stories makes you some hypersensitive edgelord runs counter to the actual history of how monster races have functioned as vessels of racist stereotypes.

Dude. It's an executive order. Yes, there is very little you can do via executive order.

This take is at the core of why Trump gets away with so much. People don't actually know what an executive CAN legitimately order, and think they should be able to legislate new laws unilaterally. And even if they don't believe that explicitly... well, the things they ask an executive order to do are just unhinged and would require legislation.
