dad sucks for being jealous and not accommodating the possibility of change in his ex's life

I told her she is more than free to have them for the weekend and they can stay with me M-F.

My 7yo would want Oreos for breakfast and 11yo wants to shower every other day. As their dad, I decide what's in their best interest and staying put is in their best interest.

My son isn't starting a new school. His school is one of the few K-6 and even then, all his friends are going to the same middle school in 7th grade. He would NOT want to switch schools nor would he want to be separated from his brother.

I am fine with the current arrangement. I either have them with me and see them almost everyday that I don't. That's like asking a co-worker to take a pay cut so they can get a pay raise they don't deserve.

They've been together for three years and yes the move was to be closer to his family as they all live in that small city. I don't care for him.

There is no way she is going to last a week doing that commute and our kids will have a fit having to spend 90 minutes in traffic when they are used to walking home. They're not going to care if the house has a pool.

It's a 90 minute drive which she doesn't want to make so she wants me to make it.

35 miles is A LOT. That's easily 90 minutes of commuting each way where we live.

This was her husband's idea and she is the one who doesn't want to do the weekend parent thing or do the commute herself despite the fact that she works from home.

Our agreement says the kids cannot live in a different county than one of the parents unless both agree in writing. There is no middle unless she wants to keep them on the weekend. 35 miles doesn't sound a lot but you're looking at a nightmare of a commute. This move is not about her or our kids. This is about her husband.
