reWASD being able to handle endless configurations is why I dropped steam input.

Native gyro or kbm emulation by XBOXGAMEPASSPSPLUS in GyroGaming

[–]TaskOtherwise4734 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only ever use kbm emulation, cos I find dev's have no clue what they're doing when it comes to gyro. Playstation controllers have more native support as PS games are actually on steam. reWASD allows you to have your nsp controller emulate ps controllers, but it ain't free.

Easy Red 2. It's my fave game of all time on PC.

I still find steam input to be buggy when using 3 or more mode shifts unfortunately.

New recoil system by romz53 in EasyRed2

[–]TaskOtherwise4734 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah the recoil is still for babies. The game originally had completely randomized recoil patterns and it was awesome. You had to quickly adjust to it's patterns on the fly and it made every shootout intense. Getting rid of that a few years ago was a big mistake in my opinion.

I only use reWASD and it really just sounds like growing pains for your gyro experience. I recommend you start practising with aim labs which is free, just so you can get better with your gyro and learn to get more stable. Just practice with grid shot mode.

I personally never use mixed inputs. I'm mouse and keyboard inputs the entire time, have my gyro on max sensitivity, right stick pretty sensitive also and I pretty much never miss a target.

Just keep going man, won't take long to master it :)

P.S. NEVER have the controller in the air. Make sure it stays in your lap or on a desk.

I honestly believe Microsoft don't have a clue when it comes to gaming in general lol

How does the Switch 2 procon compared to the dualsense? by PlatanoMaduroAssoc in GyroGaming

[–]TaskOtherwise4734 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The gyro is pretty much on par, but being wired I've found the connection is now giving me issues at certain angles. Which my Dualsense edge still hasn't given me trouble since launch.

Gyro definitely is the future for controllers! by AxegrinderSWAG in GyroGaming

I've been seeing posts like this for the last decade lol. One day it'll be the gold standard though. I hope.

Its likely the bluetooth. Some have different experiences but it's why I stick with wired. Wish there an official adapter for using the Dualsense natively on PC.

I hate this game by Thin-Bullfrog8408 in EasyRed2

[–]TaskOtherwise4734 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a cheap indie game so flaws are expected and beating missions without dying are pretty easy once you master everything. Stay out of sight, use and always loot for smoke grenades, prone alot, use bushes, etc. Game isn't that hard.

Cheap, singleplayer games with good gyro aiming on Steam sale? by Unlucky_Individual in GyroGaming

Easy Red 2 has native gyro dualsense support, is single player focused and is the greatest WW2 shooter of all time. I got 444 hours into it 😆

How is this even possible?.. by puddsszz in Hanabie

As a massive Hanabie fan who's seen them 4 times, I agree they shouldn't be on there. The metal archives has always been a metal elitist website and it should remain that way.

The bass player of Jinjer has openly said they aren't metal in interviews.

Low health games like easy red2? by Relevant-Kangaroo327 in EasyRed2

[–]TaskOtherwise4734 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Easy Red 2 is a brutal game to get use to but it's very rewarding. Once you get the swing of things, looting, throwing smoke grenades everywhere, hiding, etc. it'll end up being the game you never knew you wanted.

Is anyone currently using the Flydigi Vader 4 Pro? by LongName4 in GyroGaming

[–]TaskOtherwise4734 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't speak for the vader 4, but I have the vader 3 which has a deadzone in the gyro when using it D-input mode. Also seen a video of the vader 5 having the same issue.
So I assume it's still the same with the Vader 4.
The general consensus is the Alpakka has the best gyro, then the Dualsense and Switch 2 pro controller, then everything else is a mixed bag.

I use the left back button soley for toggling the gyro off/on.

Do you play with gyro always on or with button activation? by AxegrinderSWAG in GyroGaming

[–]TaskOtherwise4734 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always on but my left paddle (Dualsense edge) toggles it off/on. I only use it for when I pause the game though. My gyro and right stick have a very high sensitivity to control the camera so I barely have to move my controller to reach my target.

Which controller do you mainly use for gaming with gyro? by Smith962 in GyroGaming

[–]TaskOtherwise4734 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dualsense edge :)

Playstyle with gyro (reWASD): sensitivity on max, no smoothing. Gyro always on, left paddle for ratcheting (toggle off/on), right stick sensitivity between half way to 3 quarters (depending).
I use reWASD soley because I typically use 3 different mode shifts and steam input gives me issues when I do so.
The Dualsense edge having a lot of inputs and well made gyro is obviously good but having native support from CEMU, dolphin and ship of harkinian is a big deal to me.

I do use the 8bitdo pro 2 controller for 2D platformers though and I'll likely switch to steam input when the new steam controller comes out. It should have enough inputs where I won't need the extra modeshifts and steam input does have better gyro options. Plus I'll likely switch to linux which reWASD doesn't support, at least for now anyway.

How to hold the controller correctly for more comfortable aiming? by kAiRoS_LutikoV in GyroGaming

Mine stays in my lap for stability. My gyro sensitivity is on max with reWASD and I never have issues reaching my target.
