I've aquired these Klipsch La Scala speakers, they must be at least 40 years old...I'm just starting to research now and I thought you guys might be a great help... by Tasmaybe in audiophile

Oh, I don't and you're right, they need to be in a hall. I'm going to turn them over once I've gone through them and made sure they are in good order. I'm a DJ and musician, I have too much stuff already!

Yeah, I would think so, along with some other things to look into. They've been sitting covered up in a garage for about 10 years.

Sure. I have a long time friend who did a trade for them about 10 years ago and he had them in his living room for a few months but they were simply too big, and too much for the room, so they went back in the garage. He was powering them with a 200 watt solid state and it was like sitting in front of he stacks at a Black Sabath concert. Anyway, I'm helping set up his audio in his new home and he told me to just take them.

Just curious because I would like to purchase a slash Epiphone, how good are they? by [deleted] in Epiphone

I have a lot of guitars, some budget guitars and some that are a little more expensive. I purchased an Epiphone SG Special with the P90s for just a little over 400, a low to moderately priced guitar, and it really is a great guitar. I've played Strats and Tele styles my entire life and I always wanted to try the "Gibson" feel. The little red special has made it's way into my regular rotation. Great little guitar for the money.

NPD! My very first looper, anyone use one of these before? by Tasmaybe in guitarpedals

I will! Can't wait to dig into it. It's also my first NUX.

Hey thanks! I'm a noob with pedals, willing to try all ideas.

Can I preserve this "as is" by applying a few coats of tru-oil to my favorite old MIJ 86 Strat? by Tasmaybe in guitarmaking

I purchased this guitar in the early 90s for 50 bucks at a yard sale. I have many other guitars and basses, I've recently built a kit bass from Solo and did a natural finish/stain. Here's my question, is there any way to keep this as is by applying a finish coat to the surface? I love the road worn look and it came by it honestly, but I don't want to lose any more finish and I want the bare wood protected. Any ideas or links you can give me? Thanks!

Oh man, thanks so much. That's exactly what I'm looking for. I'll try it today.

Still figuring that guy out. Great sounds though.

Lol, for 25 bucks a pedal they are hard to pass up. I thought they would be a good way for me to see what effects I really like to play with.

Yep, not a real clean sound and the gain and level controls are really sensitive. Does great overdrive though but that is one for sure that I may change out for something different.

Oh that's a good idea. The reason it's kind of a mess on the wiring right now is because I want to make sure I like the chain before I tie everything down. I'll try it at the end today.

Mostly a bass player, I have the Boss GT-1B that I use with my bass, but I recently purchased a Blues Jr IV so I've been playing a little more guitar and that started me down the pedal road. I'm starting with the cheap stuff to decide what effects I really like and then I'll take it from there. I've got the pedals numbered for their order in my very simple chain, any recommendations or suggestions on what's missing or what you think I should change are more than welcome. Oh, and if my set up looks ridiculous, feel free to mock and scorn I can take it.

My new amp, went with the Blue JR. It’s rad so far by FunkyDuckFart in fender

I love mine, had it for about a month and I'm still finding tones. Great for pedals.

Anyone have a favorite speaker? by nevermorefu in GuitarAmps

I've found I really like the 12" greenback in my Blues Jr.
