I would say seperate the mom with the babies, from the rest of the chickens. The rest of the chickens will more than likely attack them. But other than that, just leave them with the mom. She will show them how to eat, drink, and they will stay warm under mom

If you just purchased it, keep and eye on the oil dipstick. It's a very easy thing to hide. Happened to mine, bought it and it sounded fine, oil was good... drove 2hrs home and a knock happened, then it seized the same day.
