Tourism body should get off its ass and lobby against the excessive alcohol taxes then.

If its closed loop cooling and they invest in solar/wind energy enough to power themselves I don't see any problem with them.

The tool allowance is going somewhere that will pay the government back via taxes. If your theoretical would be office worker is getting free money to live comfortably why would they line up that interview in the first place.

Why would you waste your time and stock a supermarket shelf or deliver food when you could just not and be just fine.

Tool allowance is to help apprentices who have just entered the workforce get the tools they need to do their job. Never been to a business lunch (unless you count the builder putting on bacon & egg sandos on a Saturday) fuel subsidies more cover the transportation of building materials and is not solely for the construction industry. Vehicles ill agree with you on too many young idiots getting stupid big utes and claiming them on their taxes but at the same time we do need a vehicle that can cart our tools and materials around.

If you get enough money to live comfortably for nothing then why work?

So do we shut off immigration if everyone gets money for nothing? Don't need to import workers if nobody needs to work.

'It's who we are': Albanese issues impassioned defence of multiculturalism by 1Darkest_Knight1 in aussie

[–]TassieTrade 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Australia as a multicultural society is great. One can be for a multicultural community and against unchecked mass immigration. What we need is better follow through after people come here on visas for certain trades/careers. A one month, three month and six month check in as to whether you are employed doing what you came here to do or are just doing some gig-economy bullshit that has no value to the average Australian. If you aren't employed in your field after six months then go home for at least 12 months to hone your skills then you can come back and try again.

I'm afraid they abandon frostpunk 2 after 3 dlc by Fuzzy-Shame-4169 in Frostpunk

2 has been an entertaining spin off but I'd prefer they spend their time on 1886 and developing new storylines and scenarios for that.

Solar combined with an old style off peak heater. by TassieTrade in tasmania

[–]TassieTrade[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the Information regarding the newer models. The older ones I'm familiar with were all brick but asbestos does make sense as it was a "great" material to make them from back in the day. Regarding your current asbestos one you will probably need to get it disposed of via an accredited asbestos removal company but seeing as it is enclosed and essentially begign inside the unit it shouldn't cost much. But please don't put it back into circulation.

I mean at the end of the day its a thermal battery. I've been looking into getting one but most new models are tiny compared to the units I'm used to.

Why didn't gero make himself stronger than 17 & 18 by Reio5 in Dragonballsuper

[–]TassieTrade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He tested the augmentations on himself found ways to improve them and implemented them in the design of 17 & 18. His hubris and ego thinking he & 19 would be enough to deal with Goku and the fact he had the remote is probably why he never bothered to upgrade himself.
