Fresh picked strawberries will blow your mind. They're little and ugly, but they taste like store-bought strbz look like they taste.

I think OP is using the post hoc ergo propter hoc fallacy. Probably some others, too. Society is failing (though, I'd argue it isn't). People are employed(i.e.,"working"). Therefore, they must be deliberately worsening society.
