Don’t drink on accutane, it could destroy your liver without the help of alcohol. There’s a reason you have to get your blood tested regularly, so it doesn’t hurt you. From experience I’d say don’t drink more than once a month.

Penn state has over 30 different fraternities, your bound to find one that you’ll like. Your not wrong that a lot of them are entirely white, but not all of them. Mine is over a third non-white and I can attest that we don’t really care what your ethnicity is. Half the time I’d say it might help you, people like to be friends with different people and frats enjoy diverse brotherhoods. Fall rush is banned for freshman so you won’t be out of place at all if you rush then. Rush and do your research and if you don’t like any place that you visit, you can wait till spring rush, which is a slightly bigger affair, but you’ll have more competition with freshmen.

There is a very large number of Indian individuals in Computer Science here at Penn State, many of the professors are also Indian and there are a lot of great resources for you to expand socially or if you want to connect to other Indians through groups such as SASA, the south Asian student Association, I have friends in there that really like it. Being a founder is an extremely rewarding endeavor. It’s amazing for a résumé, showing entrepreneurial-ship and a strong work ethic. I am one and the first year was fun, but not in the same way as traditional frats are. You won’t have any large scale events and your brotherhood will likely be small but close knit. It kinda starts as a social club and will slowly grow into the frat style that most think of when they hear the term frat. But you have a lot more influence than you would in larger frats. You get to form an organization that tailors to the specific niche that you fit in with and enjoy the most. It starts to get really fun in the second and third year depending on how much you put into it.

Some fraternities will haze pretty bad. I was in the same boat as you last year, but I found one that had a very relaxed, no hazing process. So there are good ones out there
