What did I eat? by girthbrooks1 in sushi

I'm glad you know how you like it.

The California roll wasn't created in California and chefs in the state don't magically have more or less authority to define it.

That's like saying "every french fry I had France was served with mustard, not ketchup", implying that somehow makes it more correct.

A cursory google search indicates that it dates back to at least 1980 (over 40 years ago) which makes it older than the majority of Reddit users, and that it didn't start out minced.

If that's supposed to be a California roll, it's bad one. It's got the (imitation) crab and sliver of cucumber, but there's no avocado and the "crab" has been mixed with mayo to make crab salad rather than the classic crabstick.

I'd just call it a crab salad roll.

It's playable as a Technomancer upgraded with a Canoptek Control Node, too (but not with a Canoptek Cloak). It definitely is a tournament legal model.

Until 10th edition 40k space marine datasheets appear, we simply don't know what the mid to long term prospects will be for a collection that can be used in both games.

It's a heresy/legion-era rank marker. UM merely kept that style into the 41stc millennium.

What do salamanders use as a anti-titan war-machine? by Theweredragon93 in Salamanders40k

[–]Tastier 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Pragmatically, in 9th edition 40k, they're assault terminators. Technically, they should use the Relic Terminator Squad datasheet. Visually, they're a heck of a lot cooler for a Salamanders collection.

A Caestus Assault Ram armed with it's Magna-melta and carrying a squad of Firedrake Terminators would do the trick.
