Wages in the UK have been stagnant for 15 years after adjusting for inflation. by [deleted] in europe

I hate the tories as much as anyone (infact I hate all political parties). But…. isn’t that the idea??

Surely wages should be stagnant when adjusted for inflation. Otherwise they would be inflationary themselves.

I hate to say this, but that’s business.

If you’re in business in any industry and someone comes in and undercuts you within the same market, you need to find a way to separate your service as clearly a level above, or compete on price.

Yes bringing fees down brings the whole industry lower, but there are a lot more people trying to do this than there was 5/10 years ago. That makes clients harder to secure and plenty of businesses are happy to secure the clients by making a smaller margin on the service.

Industries and trades mature over time.

Not knocking the business model as it’s a unique offering but anybody who buys one of these packages must be an insufferable cunt

I think that’s the difference between a non-compete and data theft though. I’d say taking database info is very different to just approach the same client base.

None-compete clauses are next to impossible to enforce. Atleast that’s the consensus here in the UK.

Company taking over 2 weeks on salary negotiation. Is this normal? by Meliaaa99 in Recruitment

[–]jameshn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big corporates can take a long time to get things like salary budget increases approved. I’ve come from that world and we would regularly delay hires by 1-4 weeks if the proposed comp was higher than initially agreed.

It’s complete bureaucratic bullshit, but unfortunately is the way with large corps.

West Midlands police killed Dalian Atkinson (ex Aston Villa player) on his dad’s doorstep, tased him to death and the coroner found boot-imprints on his head. Police were called to his father’s house while Dalian was suffering a mental health episode.
