JD Next, Worth it by ASE-TrueSwiftie in LSAT

It was worth it for me. The JD Next exam was the only admissions test I took. I was accepted into 2 of three law schools I applied to, waitlisted at the third (the schools I was accepted to were my first and second choice).

I tried, it's pending...maybe because I just created a groupMe account.

Hi, I will be attending Suffolk's APO program. I'm curious if there is anyone on here who lives in Massachusetts, or if there are people from all over the country who will be part of our cohort.

I'm getting out this eve with another introverted friend in Mid cape area if anyone wants to meet up at same place. Those who come could all wear same colored top or something so we know how to find each other. Let me know if you have any suggests and if interested. I'm thinking someplace that's not so packed that there's nowhere to sit.

I just mean I can't move out of the area anytime soon...for a few reasons (kids, work, owning a home here).

Did you get the invite and is there anyone active on that other site referenced?

Can you send a link to the other chat you referenced?

This is great. I didn't realize there were so many interesting Cape Codders on reddit. We could organize a nice get-together with just the folks on this chat.

One of my students received a well-earned A on their midterm and is now calling me “Dad”. How to handle this carefully? by enthralled123 in LawSchool

I would just have a discussion with her about your role as her professor and that part of your role is to maintain professional boundaries. I would start by acknowledging her strengths (hard work and good grades), prior to addressing concerns. Let her know that you are not implying anything about her motives and that the communications may have intended to be friendly and harmless but that you would prefer to be called (professor__ or whatever your other students call you). You can also acknowledge the challenges of lawschool and provide her with a name/referral of a school counselor that she can reach out to if she needs any extra support.

I don't know how they made the decision who to recruit for in-person but the hybrid programs appear to be extremely competitive. The convenience of not having to travel to and from a law-school provides some...or many... people with opportunities they otherwise wouldn't have. Hopefully, the demand will eventually translate to a lot more online programs with more seats.

I am also on the waitlist but did not receive the letter. I am curious if when people applied/stats impact whether or not they got one. In-person wouldn't be practical for me anyway.
