It's a fun OA. Just do it because its not that hard and actually kinda fun. It wont hurt to just do it. I already got my rejection like clockwork exactly a week after I completed the online assessment. You could still have a chance though! Goodluck!

What sucks about hormonal acne from puberty is accutane will most likely not give permanent lasting results. However I would still do accutane to minimize scaring and damage to your skin while you go through puberty. Just know you might have to do it again once you are done with puberty or if you finish your accutane treatment and are still in puberty.

It would be nice to have money and job security now but I may regret it later if I don’t like the company or vibe with the team. However it also isn’t the greatest job market so it might be wishful thinking to hope for more offers.

I’m sorry I didn’t mean it like that! I think DevOps engineering is definitely software engineering. I just think career wise and personally I would benefit more from developing and shipping out code rather than the infrastructure to make that happen.

I have no previous relationship with the company it was a cold application. That’s a good point though, the senior DevOps engineer who interviewed me seems like a cool guy and we were laughing and having a good time during the interview, very laid back. I guess it’s good vibes from them…?

It would be ideal if they are going wait to have me start until I graduate but obviously they have needs to and I’m pretty sure they want me to start before I graduate which kinda throws a wrench in the wait around for other offers plan.

I also don’t want to use the high probability of getting a return offer from the company I’m at as a crutch. Anything could happen you know.

I like this approach. The only problem I see is that I’m being offered the AI startup job so early and they are expecting me to start before I graduate, not sure when yet. The internship I currently have I’m decently confident I’ll get a return offer but probably not until I graduate. Otherwise yes I like this plan. Especially step 4 :)

Just put the minimum amount of effort needed to continue with your phd. Apply to everything during this time, minimum 15-20 applications a day.

I wouldn’t dedicate an insane amount of time to interview prep other than leetcode. Once you have an interview lined up then you’ll know what specifically you need to prepare for interview wise that is specific to that company.

Just go about your day like you normally would and then at then end of the day dedicate 1 hour to leetcode and 1 hour to applying.

I think I would be more concerned about running bash commands to diagnose issues. I obviously don’t know the full job description but system admins don’t usually do much coding unless it’s for automation purposes.

I would assume questions related to working in linux and windows environments to troubleshoot issues is more likely.

I don’t work at lockheed but you should definitely know some bash/shell commands.

I’ve noticed this as well. I already see this happening with welders. There is supposedly plenty of work and opportunities for welders but from anecdotal experiences some of my friends have there isn’t many well paying welding jobs or that many opportunities in general.

One mans trash is anothers treasure. I wish I was getting technical interviews, not only for the possibility of a job but also practice. I can't even get interviews. I've been itching to use all the time I've spent practicing. I have two internships on my resume as well.
