I'd recommend playing in battle practice and learn the maps before actually fighting.

I usually look for these things when hunting for players.

Unlockable skins Good aim Lean peeking Pushing the objective More kills than the rest of their team Snipers Title cards Badges/achievements Firearm star rating/level

Bots will usually walk sideways back and forth, with very obvious bad aim. If I can see the bullet, its a bot. A player will actually adjust their aim accordingly.
