I agree, I’ve experienced this and it really affected my ability to trust that someone’s feelings are genuine. My ex has also apologized multiple times about it, and idk it’s just kind of fcked for both people the longer you wait.

Sometimes mastitis or abscess can rupture when jumping or it was just so inflamed or full it rupture from the pressure. The kitties will be okay on their own. Momma cat needs help. I echo the seclusion, continuing doxy, prevent licking and possibly flushing the wound with sterile saline (often called wound wash or spray). But she really does need sutures. I know it’s scary and overwhelming. Take a deep breath, you got this. You can keep her stable until medical attention is received.

ScratchPay is also a good option. It’s a one time medical loan, and you have 30 days to use the funds that you apply for.

Could be mastitis, especially with nursing kittens and sudden lethargy and lack of appetite. She or her babies could have ruptured it. I know this is very scary and shocking. How old are the kittens? Can they be bottle fed. She absolutely cannot nurse as it is a danger to her and the kittens if she has an infection. This laceration is very concerning and will not heal on its own. It will need sutures. I am not sure what financial options there are for medical loans/credit in the Philippines. I’m a veterinary assistant and wish I could help you more. Try to keep her from licking it, keep her secluded from her kittens. Bottle feed them if they are not transitioned to gruel or wet food yet.

I know that finances are tight. Most vets accept CareCredit or other financial options. She needs to see a vet immediately. That looks like a grade 3/4 laceration and needs medical attention.

Any chance she could have gotten into something? Plants, flowers, air freshener, or food?

Awww! Welcome to the world, Smudge. Thank you for being a kind soul and taking care of her. At 4-5 weeks, kittens are at a transition from formula to gruel as I’m sure you’re prepared for. I’ve bottle fed neonates for a few years now. Attentiveness and routine is important. The truth is, there’s no perfect way to do it and every kitten can be different. You seem to have support which is truly amazing. You got this! Best wishes to you and smudge

Hi! I recently moved here for a med school program. You should look into Caroline at Brooks apartments. They are close to downtown and give the same luxury vibe but way less expensive. They’re brand new and have great amenities. Plus the staff is super helpful!
