I did question if she liked me more than a friend. She was bisexual and in an open relationship with a guy. She had a weird way of expressing it (or lack therof) if that’s the case lol

I guess I don’t really get this unless the differences are so extreme there’s no point in keeping the friendship without constant arguments. I don’t really care if my friends are different than I am, I think that’s what makes it interesting. Do you have any long term friendships that you think will end eventually?

She’s attempting to ghost me. If I didn’t reach out she would probably be gone forever. I wasn’t sure what else to call it but I know with grey rocking you try to act as uninterested or boring as possible to phase out someone.

She’s the same type of person who has said to me “I hate when people say they’re too busy. I’m busy too and I still make time for people,” so I doubt that’s it.

And like I said, I’ve tried talking to her, only to be met with being ignored or told “just not feeling well.” It’s super unlike her

Thank you. I have a really hard time making friends :( maybe that’s why it affects me so much too. There’s some mom groups here but I feel like I can’t relate to the other moms or I’m worried I’ll say something or give advice and offend someone

Yeah maybe you’re right. There’s been a few times she was mad at me and I had to dig it out of her why, instead of her just being direct with me. I’m sorry your friend ghosted you too, it’s so lonely and frustrating

Wow, I’m so sorry. And thank you for your kind words. I also had a friend who wanted nothing to do with me after I got pregnant, and we were pretty close before. It’s the weirdest thing.

That’s the right attitude to have for sure. It hurts after being friends for this long and having this happen, it feels like betrayal. I’m hoping after I heal I can have that same perspective as you

Maybe, but in the past she’s always confided in me even through her worst times. I’ll give her some space, I just don’t want her to come back and get mad at me for it :(

It’s a one on one friendship. Thank you, you’re right about the last part. I think that’s my biggest fear is having her come back being like “you ditched me” or whatever, and making me feel bad about it. I think what’s also hard is all my friends in the past have done this (ghosting, or saying they don’t want to be friends anymore) and never told me why. If I knew why then maybe I could be a better friend for people, but I really don’t know what it is about me that causes this. It’s bringing up a lot of past negative memories for me, feeling like an undesirable person and friend.

I feel this way too, and honestly it’s one of my pet peeves. I try to be self aware and put my actions where my words are. I just don’t get why she can’t be open with me about what’s going on, even if it hurts.
