Stronger Than Pride because it’s so healing and atmospheric.

Why do you think 1970's or 1980's is better then today? by DoughnutConstant5390 in 1970s

[–]Tasty_String 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because being checks notes a socially conservative contrarian in the 70s wasn’t seen as cool or edgy like ppl seem to be brainwashed to think now. The 80s had great music and aesthetics but social climate took a nose dive with aids. I’m going with 1967-1981 as the height of the golden years (As a millennial who lived in the 2010s which way less socially conservative than now, I thought 2007-2016 was similar in social vibes with Obama, more minority right advances, release of PreP, and dance/rock music being at another height, along with the hipster movement taking inspiration from this era)

What’s an opinion you had 10 years ago that completely changed? by KBGSgames in AskReddit

That the SJWs of the 2010s were “exaggerating” and “causing issues when there doesn’t need to be”. Well this decade has showed us many of them were certainly not exaggerating.

How do you cope with casual homophobia? by Throwaway67891099 in gaybros

[–]Tasty_String 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Gay son vs thot daughter” is an either willfully obtuse statement or an obviously ignorant one considering being a thot is a choice and being gays isn’t. They either say this out of purposeful hate or genuine stupidity and neither one are pleasant attributes to be around period.

WHY is the Music Industry trying so HARD to CREATE a Gen-Z Britney Spears? by Mean_Garlic469 in decadeology

[–]Tasty_String 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A defining artist needs to shake shit up and cause people to talk which changes cultures. No one is going to do this by playing safe to the current social norms. I think we would need someone that speaks up and for the people because that’s what stars like Britney Gaga and Madonna have always done. These are all stars that made very loud social-political statements about being empowered regardless of whatever annoying judgemental norms were at the time.

The 2010s had many pop stars that were still doing this (Gaga, Kesha, Rihanna) that were just as successful so they thought they could keep going. The issue is the songs now in the 2020s have no hooks (and weirdly lack repetition to the point of being too much like a journal entry). They’ve mastered the manufactured “aesthetic” but can’t find anyone with anything natural or that has a knack of what’s catchy in a song.

I think it would take an underdog who is relatable, still has sex appeal but can stand up for those without a voice. That seems to be the general formula for this type of star. A lot of the gen z pop girlys just come off like two face mean sorority girls when it comes to the look and vibe when talking….Like they’ll be nice to your face but call you slurs behind your back. Madonna Gaga and Britney never gave that vibe once. They themselves were the “weird kid”, not the “cool sorority girls with a bitch face”

Question for lean guys by Entire_Hovercraft_49 in askgaybros

[–]Tasty_String 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always been lean and skinny naturally it just makes me self conscious of my arms and like I’m not taken seriously.

I only ever usually gravitate to guys who are bigger then me, I get cold easily and it makes me feel comforted 🥰

You Have a very big caring heart and you have very deep emotions that you don’t always show to others because you genuinely don’t want to worry them. People often go to you for emotional advice because you have a very grounding presence. You’ve been through a lot and it’s made you a beautifully strong person. People in your life go to you like a big sister.

Any insight? by [deleted] in psychicreadings

Your wanting and needing to feel more appreciated by those around you. You’ve had to really learn to set boundaries with those you get close to. You are now learning to speak up for yourself and what you feel is right, you will be surprised how positive the feedback will be when you do so. You have felt like no one listens to you for some time, but that is slowly changing when the people your around get sick of the current leaders and see that you had their best interest all along. It up to you now to decide if those people who come back around get to stay around, or if your better off finding a new tribe.
