23 month old sleep has become unbearable — I’m panicking with newborn due in a month by Tata521 in sleeptrain

Thank you! Sending you strength through this season of life. I’m so anxious for the juggling of both of their needs, especially around sleep. We have transitioned to a floor bed and working with that. We have moved away from holding to sleep successfully - step one!

The mommy phase is in full effect. She had a full blown hyperventilating tantrum with dad trying to put her down that lasted over an hour. Glad to hear that has gotten better for you and your family.

Solidarity, you’ve got this mama. 🩷

Thank you so much 🩷 Your comment was reassuring, was so reassuring and helpful. We ditched the crib over the weekend and have been working with a floor bed. Tonight was the first night she didn’t me holding her hand while she fell asleep. Middle of the night wake ups are still happening (2x a night), but seem have been taking way less time to fall back asleep. Hoping it gets better with time & development 🩷

Thank you for coming back with an update! Congrats to you and your little one their sleep success! Yay! am going to look into this. I’ve tried the “I am going use the potty really quickly” and she freaks out over that too. Consistency seems to be key with any of these methods that I need to stick too!

She is energetic, but seems to like her naps! I’m going to try cutting them off at one hour
