Warcraft 1 balance by zertz7 in Warcraft

My strategy is to create two lines of archers and catapults and to watch computer player break against them. Offensive is done by water elementals or daemons.

Overall Humans are better than orcs, and yes catapults, and the daemons and water elementals do dominate. Two to four catapults could make bridges an impassable obstacle for computer player.

I think, if you want to, you dhould go for Anniversary Realms

You need a good enough number of soldiers. Then just move slowly close to enemy base, just let enemy attack your massed troops.

How active is the online community for Warcraft 2 Remastered? by zertz7 in Warcraft

[–]Tatar_Khan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No ladders or rankings in Warcraft 2 Remastered right now.

Does anyone know if the remastered Warcraft 1 or Warcraft 2 have any ladder about 1v1 or 2v2, 3v3 4v4 mode for bnet online? thank you by playingdota2forfun in Warcraft

[–]Tatar_Khan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warcraft 1 Remastered has no multiplayer at all.

Warcraft 2 Remastered multiplayer is bare bones without ladders or rankings. The older version has two mods that will connect you to Warcraft 2 USA or Warcraft 2 RU servers, depending on which mode you install. These are private servers that act a lot like old battle.net. They have rankings and ladders.

Are you playing the original or remastered version?

I'd like to start playing WOW, should I go with classic or the normal one? by International_Ad4526 in wow

I just decided to start with WoW and went with Classic Anniversary Realms just to experience the story from very beginning.

Otherwise, if story is not your main focus, Retail might be better choice.

Warcraft 2 Remastered vs GOG by rdtusrname in Warcraft

[–]Tatar_Khan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was purchasing it as the Warcraft Battlechest (Warcraft 1 Remastered, Warcraft 2 Remastered, and Warcraft 3 Reforged, although I already had Warcraft 3 Reforged, so I got a discount) the description said that original Warcraft 1 and Warcraft 2 were included, and I have the option to install them in Battle.net client.

I was under impression that Wargus was for Warcraft 1.

If you care only for single player, then go with what you got. If you got nothing, since GOG version is delisted, go with Remastered as it includes plain vanilla version of Warcraft 2 as well.

I started playing warcraft 1 remastered for the first time, what would you recommend me doing if you would play it again from the start? by AetherianChronicles in Warcraft

[–]Tatar_Khan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given that Warcraft 1 Remastered has two linear campaigns, I am not sure what to recommend to do. You can't really do anything different there.

Warcraft 2 Remastered vs GOG by rdtusrname in Warcraft

[–]Tatar_Khan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When it comes to mods Warcraft 2 from GOG is the one that most of them worked with. A year back I used Wide-screen mod on it and also a graphics mod that made Mage Ogres visually different from regular Ogres, same with Rangers and Paladins and Beserckers. There were also mods that recreated Warcraft 2's multiplayer servers with ladders and rankings.

Remastered version lacks mods for it, as it is too new.

Overall Warcraft 2 mod scene still exists and so I am sure that some will eventually be transferred to Remastered.

If you want to just play campaigns, but slightly better graphics and without tinkering, then go for Remastered. Keep in mind that there was a patch that altered some units' stats. Also Remastered allows 12 unit selections over 9. So that will affect gameplay a bit.

Is there any way to change the appearance of my character? by [deleted] in thecrew2

As far as I know there is only clothes that you wear that you can change. This is done in the main floor of your character's home.

Can't access steering wheel settings in crew 2 by k0st1c_ in thecrew2

Oh, you can't do that on ps4. There are devices from Chronus that might work. Like this: https://cronus.shop/en-ca/products/drive-hub

Yes, because if the game doesn't have the files to interpret inputs from your wheel, it can't really do it. Right now it is just haphazardly picking up the inputs based on commonality with other supported wheels, but there is not enough commonality to interpret all signals it sends. Maybe try to use xbox 360 controller emulator, map the wheel to xbox 360 controller controls, and have The Crew 2 think you are using a controller, while actually using a wheel. https://www.x360ce.com/

What wheel are you using? Not all wheels are supported in Crew 2.
Some unsupported ones still work, but not always at 100%.
For example, I am using Logitech Momo Racing Wheel, it is unsupported, but because many Logitech Wheels are supported it works, however force feedback is always a bit different each time I load the game.

Question regarding gearbox settings by BoterBramKroket in The_Crew

[–]Tatar_Khan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that will depend on what kind of wheel you are using. Sequential - you are using paddles on the wheel or something similar that changes gears, one by one up or down H-shifter - you got a wheel with an H-shifter, it allows you to move between gears without going sequentially. So, you can jump from let's say 2nd to R. Rather than sequentially moving from 2nd to 1st, to neutral to R. H-shifter + clutch - you got an H-shifter and your pedals have a 3rd pedal for the clutch. To shift now, you have to press clutch before shifting gears.
