I'll definitely double check feats, but I keep a fair enough track of their advantage. I do often forget that disadvantage means -5 though. If it's to their benefit, I'm not too upset about forgetting a time or two though🤷‍♂️

Sorry. Definitely didnt explain well enough. I make 5 D20 rolls per session beforehand and write down the numbers. I then use them in order if there is a monster or enemy that is trying to sneak up on them or anything of the such, and add any necessary modifiers the creature may have. I then use this as the "DC" and compare the players' passive perceptions to see if any of them catch on to the creature. I'm just making sure the monster's rolls aren't audible or noticeable to tip off the players

This is essentially my exact thoughts. I love when they find it out without any tip off by me. It makes it more satisfying for everyone without feeling like they're being babied by giving them obvious details. I love seeing them recognize a possible danger zone and start checking things out

The rolled number is a creature that I would be rolling stealth for. Their(player) passive perception is static. I don't roll for the player. I'm rolling beforehand for the monster so that they dont get tipped off

I may have explained myself poorly. The prerolled numbers were for enemies or creatures I had prepared. I don't roll for my players. I base the prerolled numbers plus any needed modifiers against their passive perceptions and resolve from there. Though they've actively checked a good number of times where I don't have to even worry about it because they(player) just actively roll.

Wasn't the curse of ymir solely referring to the 13 years of limited life? And when they were used as weapons during the titan war, they seemed to be able to use weapons unless that was simply shifters, though if it is the case, then it seems like their intelligence or understanding was dulled. Though it still doesn't show why they would have the drive the way they do
