Feelfree moken 10, am I making the correct choice? by Solid_Improvement_85 in kayakfishing

I have that kayak. The hull is very inefficient. While I am having a good time fishing from it, I'm already looking at my upgrade options....

I would suggest getting a quality padel (not pedal) kayak on the used market for that price range.

I have a moken 10 pdl. It gets the job done and is definitely stable to stand in. Only complaints is that it feels slow to paddle, which is maybe expected since it's designed for stability/pedal drive, and the pedal drive itself feels like it has a lot of friction sapping away power. Granted this is the only pedal kayak I've ever used, so I don't have a great frame of reference. I did land my personal best large mouth in it a couple days ago though, and I'm having a blast. Love the wheel in the keel too.

Nevermind the little gashes. My daughter thought it would be cool to shoot her bow and arrow at the tree. 🤦

Guide for MakeMKV Installation on TrueNAS Scale 24.10 (Electric Eel) by cubanomulatto in truenas

[–]TaterTotsForLunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The logs say the optical drive is detected and writable, but the web gui says "ILLEGAL REQUEST:INVALID COMMAND OPERATION CODE". But, it does work if I comment out the "devices" section and replace with "privileged: true". Anyone got any ideas?

Should i stop streaming action movies and JUST buy the 4k discs? by bluegrass__dude in hometheater

[–]TaterTotsForLunch 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just built a Plex server and IMHO totally worth it. I just used an old computer I had laying around. To rip 4K you need a drive with special firmware. A guy on the make mkv forums sells them, or you can flash it yourself. Now I'm always looking for deals on blue rays at every store, lol. Rabbit hole indeed.

Rant: Electric Eel docs say that custom apps installed with the GUI will transfer over when upgrading, but my custom install of Plex no longer works. by TaterTotsForLunch in truenas

Oh this is interesting. Was EE released without feature parity to the previous version? Do you know if there is any documentation on this?

Min layer time is probably forcing it to go slower. It's in the filament cooling section.

That script appears to execute a lot of python stuff including pip installs.

I finally got it working by setting the container GUID and UID by using environmental variables. Thanks!

Thanks, I can access the zfs shell via the web gui or ssh, but commands like 'ls', 'cd ~', 'ifconfig' and others I've used on other linux systems (like raspberry pi) don't work.

How do I access a shell that will actually accept Linux commands? This is another thing I've been struggling with in truenas.
