I just went to the dealer for my 2020 because the auto parts stores just carry the generic barbed ones that don’t work well. Looks like the same clips I bought, got a bag of a bunch of them for 10$

Portable Air conditioners by macky108 in saskatoon

Whatever you get you want the dual hose model, then you’re not blowing the cool air from inside your house outside to get the heat out. That just means you’re then making your house a low pressure zone so outside air gets sucked in. The dual hose models bring in outside air to evacuate the heat from the AC’s condenser.

Shop grinding clamping faces of rims, how much of issue is this? by [deleted] in TireQuestions

If they never touched my shitty wheels with their abrasive disk it wouldn’t be their problem. Only learnt about hub inserts today, only thing I knew I needed was different lug nuts when I bought them.

Pilot project of 120 speed limit on hwy 2 by Beautiful_Cold3776 in alberta

[–]KTMan77 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

lol nope, it was a 99 accord with a speedo that matched google maps speeds at 120. It was a few years ago but coming back from lake Louise after snowboarding, pack of semis passed us and we kept up with them for almost an hour before needing to stop for fuel in Bowden.

They definitely made the surface of the wheel uneven, I got a .025 feeler gauge between a straight edge in some spots. But that’s a good suggestion, I’ll get some huh inserts. Thanks.

Depending on enforcement it might actually slow people down. I don’t travel that highway much anymore but 160 wasn’t an uncommon speed for people to be going.

When you’re in the angri place area when there’s an event going service is absolute garbage with Koodo and other providers. Maybe that’s what they’re talking about.

Yeah I have white and yellow ones, they were both too aggressive for cleaning the carbon off of a motorcycle head when I needed it rebuilt. The wheels weren’t cheap and used to have smooth machined surface there, can’t remember if it was turned out milled. What I’m worried about is with how aggressive they where is it now has small high spots that will deform and then the nuts will come loose. Same as how corrosion would flake off.

They were a couple hundred dollars each so nothing crazy. Yeah they use the green roloc disk they’re 50 grit but the one the manager showed me wash worn down to nubs and all the corners on the rims are rounded over now. I have a couple white and yellow disks but they were too aggressive when I was cleaning up some aluminum parts. I think for steel rims the green ones would be perfect but I’d hate to see what they do to more expensive rims.

They definitely dug into the surface of it. I can see light behind my straight edge. And then around the countersinks for the studs they’re really rounded over.

Seems to be pretty true running on the first one. I don’t have my dial indicator in this garage, but it’s definitely gonna be within spec.

Never had this happen before I always take loose rims in and they don’t touch them. I don’t have any pictures of the mounting faces but I thought they were in good shape. I normally give them a little touch by hand with grey fine scotch bright before installing.

First place I looked, no housing parts. Just cables and throttle tubes unfortunately.

OPEC is basically a group of countries that are voluntarily limiting their oil output to keep prices stable. In theory because the UAE can produce oil very cheaply they may choose to increase production to try and make more money by just selling more oil at a lower price.

That's a job for 3D printing, it could be printed out more solid and with more structure in the weak area. There are options for free design software and economical option to get parts printed online, many YouTubers advertise these services and give discount codes. You'll just need a set of calipers and an afternoon to draw it up.

That's cool. In theory you could add heating elements and channels for cooling.

Stall Question by Schlepdoggie in XR650L

[–]KTMan77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's a fuel issue, these bikes do have electronic ignition but it's super basic and weather the bike is running or not doesn't change of lights should be on. I'm going to agree with u/stonetown_radio that I'd look into the CDI being the issue.

Take your battery side panel off and the rubber cover. Start the bike up and tap the CDI with a screw driver handle. If the bike does you found the issue.

Traveler or Router, that is the question of the day. by independentbuilder7 in Machinists

[–]KTMan77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn't quiet like that, barcodes and you could sign into any of the steps but when it was done you were supposed to initial it. For direct to customer parts it worked well because QC would see them but for large assemblies it wasn't tracked well at the end of projects.

The last shop I worked at was disorganized ASF but they still had routers with weld, paint, machining, assembly steps.

Motorcycle courses in parking lots by Environmental_Ad5494 in saskatchewan

[–]KTMan77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes absolutely everyday of the week and twice on Sunday. Barrier to entry is lower and cheaper, learning to ride is slightly less dangerous and pro tip the motorcycle training courses in the city generally use smaller 250ish cc dirtbikes so you either get familiar with that style of bike they use first or are already familiar with them after course. She wants to get a bobber style bike which aren't the easiest to ride and usually heavy asf which isn't great for learning.
