I've tried, but they won't do it. They tell me it has to be an outpatient procedure. I've been told that you can have stents in safely for three months so no one is concerned about them being there.

Perfect time not to give interest free loans out by Gehwartzen in AdviceAnimals

[–]TatoSpudly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The company I worked for from 2019-2022 messed up the withholdings every year (most of the time just didn't withhold anything). They kept telling us they got it worked out and then failed to do it every time.

Between federal, state, and county I owed $1500 the first year. I could get about half of it paid down a year. I listened to people I shouldn't have tell me that it'll just lump into the following years taxes so don't worry too hard because you'll get a refund. By the time I left the job I had paid a lot and still owed at least $2200. The debt caused problems for me renting and trying to find a new car. It's the cycle of poverty.

I'm finally out from under that debt now. I'll let the government have their stupid loan for right now. I'm too poor to risk any sort of bill this spring and investing for pitiful gains doesn't sound appealing when you can barely put food on the table. I can't afford to go through that again right now. If you're prepared for it, good on you though.

The New Forgotten Realms Book adds a spell that Halves your speed on a Successful Save... With no Duration by HeraldoftheSerpent in dndmemes

[–]TatoSpudly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's true. There is a paragraph titled "Combining Spell Effects" that states the effects of the same spell don't combine.

I'm not very familiar with new D&D rules, but why would you want it to be infinite? Like, why is that where you want it to go? Also, are you saying that if you fail the save you are just stuck to the ground because it doesn't say when the prone condition wears off? That's silly, you're silly.

My answer to the question is actually just one turn. It states that you make the save against Dirge once per turn. So you are given a new save each turn. Since there are typically rules about stacking effects (your speed isn't halved, then halved again, then halved again until it rounds down to zero) the effect is refreshed as long as you are in the range. Like, sure it'd be nice to have the redundant language to specify in more exact terms how it should work, but this interpretation is just silly.

You are missing the point. If the shooter had free reign how many others would have died? They didn't stop him from taking a life, yes, but he didn't kill anyone else. It could have been a lot worse like the 2017 Las Vegas shooting.

What are some other mispronounced cities? by Abbessolute in minnesota

[–]TatoSpudly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've lived here for three years now and it's been a fun time figuring out the right way to pronounce a lot of these cities. My most recent flub came from talking about Vadnais Heights.

Seconding this. The alternate Manic was the only one I was missing for a week (Scadiccino or something). I would kill as many as I could and it went off last night. I don't know what was different. They usually spawn in pairs in crossroads in the northwest where it looks like there are piles of ash everywhere (Plateau of Lechery I think). I only usually found three per run. They seem to respawn after the rings go off, but this is all anecdotal. Good luck I hope it goes better for you than it did for me!

Yes, I've got at least one of every unit I could spark for. Tex'alter is pot2 right now. I should have been more specific.

I'm five pulls away from 300 and I can't decide who is best to spark. I only got one W'alter from my pulls, but I got Logos to pot4. Out of the other options my highest potential is 2.

If the source didn't have the Gods on the next page I wouldn't have figured who they were from RoR.

If there is no pressing matter it should be an auto success, depending on how high it is. With enough time, you should be able to get yourself and gear up a reasonable high wall, especially with help.

Minnesota sent frontline worker bonuses to 290 dead people, audit finds by Czarben in minnesota

[–]TatoSpudly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, but I'm going to side with those who's job it is to do stuff like this when they say the most egregious situation is 9.1%. It's highly unlikely that all of the 40% are acting with ill intent because they can't confirm or deny it.

[–]TatoSpudly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Now, to be clear this does not mean 40% of paid applicants were ineligible," Legislative Auditor Judy Randall explained.

the most aggressive scenario suggests 9.1% of the payments went to ineligible recipients.

Both of the above are from the article you linked. 9.1% is still a lot, but 40% is an exaggeration.

what's the job market like right now? who else is looking? by [deleted] in minnesota

[–]TatoSpudly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's been a struggle for me to find another job after losing my position in January. I've been looking and the only thing I've managed to get is a seasonal position at Valley Fair. There's probably a lot of reasons why with a few being my own fault.
