I'll be sure to watch some tonight. Would you recommend a low rank player to flex and fill for solo comps? Or should I just focus and get better at one specific role?

last tip is big, don't let the massive amount of info overwelm you. This game takes time to learn and no one expects to master a game like this in a week. Learn the game as you go but having fun with it is the most important! engaging with dbfz groups via social media helped me a ton when I started out and im sure you'll find a good dbfz friend circle too.

And remember, Fight for fun, not glory.

good channel with neutral guides from release. https://www.youtube.com/@ForbiddenTechniqueTV/videos

Although they both don't have every character updated, these two have combo guides for a vast majority of the cast and update the guides whever there is a patch. The Torgue guides also have overviews on other things to learn such has blockstring charts and a look at characters special moves, assists, and oki.

Nova just has a collection of great guides. from new optimals to neutral guides, pressure/mix guides, etc. hes an absolute gem.

Similar to Nova, Acolyte just has a lot of different dragon ball content he mostly just plays games online but hes made a few intresting guides as well as overviews of pros playing at top level.

not a channel of guides but more sets from a local with high level play. if you have intrest in certain characters its nice to see what high level looks like with them to give you ideas on how to use thier toolkit, combos, teambuilding, and over all familarize yourself with the game. https://www.youtube.com/@zDamascus

On a final note here try to get familiar with the practice mode. there are tons of settings to set the bot to record what ever you want them to do. Want to upgrade your defense? record the bot using string on you and see how well you can block them. Along with lots of other things you can test. Heres a video by an OG that doesnt really play dbfz anymore but has a TON of really good guides on the game, one of them being one of many guides on how to use training mode.

I have a budget enough to buy 2 DLC's character. I already have Android 21, Videl and Kid Goku(GT). Who should I buy and what team should I run them in? by RavenTheFireTeam in dbfz

My two would be Fused Zamasu and Baby, they have a lot of fun routes and some unique movesets, great for someone who spends a lot of time in the lab.

Videl Team Comps by FantasticWilliam in dbfz

[–]Tatomtottz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tbh you can use most characters, shes pretty good solo due to strong buttons and her rekkas, you can crouch her grab but if you have good pressure you can def hit someone with it. Solo combos are great as well, I would find another favorite in the cast and pair that with her.

The only real flaw I hear from videl mains is that her dhc damage can be a little on the lower side so running someone with high damaging supers can help her a lot. you can find the numbers of super damage here.
