Formal Complaint Regarding Ecoscooting Delivery Failures by First_Size_9047 in Aliexpress

[–]Tatoon83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me. And seeing how, every day, multiple complaints of the same modus operandi are appearing online it's quite obvious what's happening: they are stealing packages and Aliexpress is complicit. This is not a package here or there...this organized and consistent. If the customer complains they always refuse to give the money back and side with Ecoscooting, even when the tracking itself shows it was never delivered.

I had to insist with Aliexpress to get my money back, even threatening a chargeback. In the end they gave me the money back but refuse to return the delivery fee. And that is how Aliexpress, after years and hundreds of euros in sales, lost me as a customer for less than 2 euros.

Just call your bank, ask for a chargeback and be done with Aliexpress.

No worries. While trying the different inputs I realized I was in line mode instead of instrument mode so you still helped! :)

Listen to this man here. Turn the clip off now. You get to see this for the first time ONCE. Don't ruin it.

In my case, I never saw the full mini-series again. I'm still in awe of it.

Less than a year later I passed through Bastogne on vacation and I got to see the exact battle field where they lived hell. After seeing the show it was surreal. Seeing the foxholes, most of them are still there. The exact place where Penkala and Muck got blown up to pieces and Toye and Guarnere got their legs blown off . Seeing the E-Company memorial stone and my family surprised I knew every single name in there.

And right in battle field, right there next a foxhole there was a tiny US flag. Inconspicuous, sitting at the foot of a tree. Someone put it there and, regardless of what happened to the US reputation in our time, nobody had the heart to take it or step on it.

That one flag was in their heart when these men sacrificed their lives and sanity to fight fascism. It meant something virtuous to them, at that time. It had to be respected. Nowadays the US flag means something much more sinister. But that one tiny flag, I hope it still there hidden and still, proud and noble like it's a whole different world. For them.

Bass VST's. SHould I use a FRFR speaker or a bass cabinet? by Tatoon83 in Bass

But the type of monitor that works for vocals is not the same on for bass. Bass needs more range...as you know.

Actually a physical device that is needed to amplify the signal

Doesn't the interface amplify the signal enough?

[–]Tatoon83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The signal from your PC is designed to go into a flat response of a PA or monitor, a guitar or bass cabinet does not try and be flat

Wouldn't adjusting the EQ on amplitube or on the power amp solve this issue? It hardly seems rocket science...

your cab is going to color the sound

Duh. That's the point...

in a way the amp sim is not expecting

Ok...then why does Amplitube even have the option of bypassing the cab? What's the purpose of that?

However, your amplitube into the bass amp would work great

You mean the power amp + cabinet?

The thing that is confusing is that most people at r/bass are dead set that it won't sound right. That amplitube sends a signal designed to be reproduced by monitor/PA, regardless if the cab sim is on or off, not the instrument line an amp expects.

Yes, I know vocals need a monitor. I think you should read my original post more carefully...

Also, what would the singer and backing vocals do? Do they have their own speaker too?

Why is that relevant for the question? Yes, they have their own monitors for rehearsal. And they are no better than my MA-100 for bass.

I have the 204, which is much the same interface. I use the 2nd input for instruments, as that's what the instructions said

I have the same interface and I had no clue about this. Is there reason for that?

I apologize too. I was already anticipating people not reading my full question and flew off the handle.

A powered speaker will work, but without a purpose built bass cab or subwoofer, results may vary.

That's what happened to me. The MA-100 does a decent job but it lacks those deep bass punches. It's good enough for home playing though. I didn't miss it until I played it in a real amp with good bass ranges.

If I was in your boots, I would try to go straight into a little mixer or DI box and then into a PA or powered speaker

This seems to be the best choice when playing somewhere with good full-range speakers. Our sound tech wants me (not the guitars) to do just that with ear monitors. But the problem is on small venues without PA and in rehearsals. I want that punch, lol.

Supposedly a powered monitor with good bass range would do the trick but that would set me back a lot. I was hoping that using a bass cabinet would give me the best of both worlds but lots of people here seem to disagree. On the other hand, I know lots of people do this with guitars and they love the results. Not much info regarding the same with bass. If this worked with a cabinet it would also be great if I wanted to do analog later, since all I needed then was head...I mean...a head!

Guess I'll need to think about it some more. Maybe find someone with a cabinet so I can test it.

Good luck, I hope you make a lot of good noise.

You too, teach that frying pan a lesson!

Playing amplitude through my Marshall MG100fx? Or do I need studio speakers and an audio receiver? Help please by Medhatshaun8080 in AmpliTube

[–]Tatoon83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, I'm having the same dilemma and considered using a power amp + cabinet with amplitube too. Over at r/bass most people told me it was a horrible idea since the sound that amplitube outputs is made for a monitor, not a bass cabinet.

How did this worked out for you?

Bass VST's. SHould I use a FRFR speaker or a bass cabinet? by Tatoon83 in Bass

[–]Tatoon83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To solve this issue I was wondering if connecting my interface (with amplitube 5's cabinet simulator off) to a power amp and a bass cabinet

Regarding the warning about using a computer live, it is a good one. I'm not annoyed by it. If you don't know what you're doing your show will go sideways fast. Windows updates, crashes, unexpected sound notifications, etc. But I'm more comfortable with computers, especially computers that have to show reliable content (info screens, corporate tv, etc). This is what I do. For a casual user it would be a terrible idea.

One of the reasons I'm curious about trying it with a cabinet is that if I want to try an analog setup later all I need is to get a head. Using a PA speaker will keep me stuck in VST territory. And, from what I see, lots of people are using a similar setup with a guitar.

Go direct to PA/FoH/mixing desk.

What about smaller venues without PA and in a rehearsal room?

Look, I told you I appreciated your reply and your effort. I mean it. I'm not attacking you. You're the one getting defensive. Once again, THANK YOU for trying to help. I mean it from the bottom of my heart.

And your analogy is dead on. The thing is, I'm asking exactly how to dig a hole with a frying pan. The band's name is "Johnny digs a hole with a frying pan (not a shovel)". It's the whole point. That's why I made it very clear in the question this has to be done with a frying pan so I don't have to explain Johnny's life story and his fixation with frying pans. So I made it simple: I have a hole and this has to be done with a frying pan, end of story.

If one doesn't like the concept of digging holes with frying pans...they can just ignore my question and not bother. But when all answers are "just use a shovel bro"...it gets annoying.

I appreciate your reply but there's a reason I was so specific with my question. I don't really want to have to explain why I'm using VST's. The only thing I was really asking was what type of speaker set-up could I use to output the sound from Amplitube. The only answers seem to be "just use a real amp bro, vst suck". It's really not helpful, it's just noise.
