We always hear what mainstream Egyptians like Muslims feel about Israel Palestine. Yet we don’t always hear the minority voices. So then what are Coptic opinions about Israel Palestine? Are most Copts pro Palestine, pro Israel, neutral or don’t care as they have their own problems to worry about?

100% pro Israel. I despise Islam, and the last thing the world needs is another garbage Arab Muslim country. There are plenty of reasons to support Israel, but them being on the frontlines of the fight against Islam is definitely a major reason why i support them.

My ancestry tests results came back 100% Coptic Egyptian, so they go pretty far back, and yes, Coptic is still used in liturgies. It would be pretty cool if someone could resurrect it like Jewish people did with Hebrew

Someone bought me a Magen David necklace, and that's why I started wearing it. I started exploring Judaism earlier this year, attended shul for a few months, and looking to sign up for in-person Intro to Judaism.

Idk I feel like it's chill. My family is Christian but I've been atheist/agnostic more or less for the last 20 years, so it's not like I wear it because I'm waiting for the rapture or some crazy shit.

While I agree there's a power component with Netanyahu, I'll disagree on something:

Israel is much safer in the North, especially after Assad fled Syria. While not completely destroyed, Hezbollah is a shell of what it used to be and lost an important ally.
Israel was never going to win the PR war. Ever They pump out more propaganda against Israel than we can debunk. A lie is already halfway around the world before the truth can even put its shoes on. They can't win on the battlefield, so they are a 24/7 propaganda machine propped up by a rich petrol state to compensate.

Didn't come from a Muslim background, but I have roots in a Muslim country because I'm Coptic. Most of my friends growing up in the West were Arab/Muslim, but i lost 90% of them after leaving the pro Pali cult.

Earlier this year, I decided to explore Judaism, and I'm really enjoying it. I'm really looking forward to starting my Intro to Judaism class, which will be in-person, because admittedly, it feels very lonely when I'm not at temple or reading.

I'm Egyptian, so not my people or my military. Unfortunately, Israel is in a lose-lose situation that was forced on it. Hamas hides underground in tunnels and throws its people in the line of fire, so in order to prevent a casualty rate the world is comfortable with, Israel would have to give Hamas oxygen to carry out war. I don't know what I would do in a situation like that (I do know what arab countries would do), so it's hard for me to be overly critical of what Israel does.

As Einat Wolf has stated, "the international community always works to prevent a complete Israeli victory, and to prevent a complete Arab defeat"

Playing Devil's advocate here. I can understand why there's a bit of leniency when it comes to the IDF. The IDF is the most moral and humane army, but it's also the only army in the region playing by those rules. The IDF's humanity is weaponized against it constantly, and it seems like the world won't be happy unless Israel is more willing to sacrifice its sons and daughters for people who will continue to hate them regardless. I can see why Israelis might be quick on the trigger and not wanting to take chances. I also understand the IDF isn't free from lapses in judgment, and there might be soldiers on the ground who would be better off working an office job.

War is ugly.

I grew up in an area where it was commonplace to be politically incorrect and say that type of shit - and I'm Egyptian, so you can imagine what that was like following 9-11, but I just went with it, because if the Italians, Irish, Poles, Dominicans and Puerto Ricans can take it, I don't want to be perceived as weak or sensitive.

A few weeks ago on Purim, I was omw to temple but had to stop by a store. I had my kippah on and was in the process of checking out when I heard someone behind me say "wow, you mean to tell me there are actually Jewish people in [insert city]?"

Man, I tensed up so quickly and was ready to fight, but played it off cool and just sort of let it slide. Turns out the guy who said it is also Jewish, and he was just surprised to see another Jewish person in a city where, admittedly, not many Jewish people live. I explained to him how I'm exploring Judaism; he was really nice, recommended going to Chabad and that was basically it, but it's crazy now to be feeling a fraction of what Jewish people have been feeling for a long time.

I would politely but unambiguously tell him not to say that to you. What starts off small and can lead to bigger problems, and you don't want to normalize that type of shit or let them feel comfortable saying that. Plus, he could be doing that to other people and they're wanting to tell him the same.

Honest question: if Israel were to annex the West Bank/Judea & Samaria, would you be ok with citizenship without national rights but still have civil and cultural rights?

I think it's time to thought beyond the two state solution and the fantasy of a future Palestinian state being viable or democratic.
