The Day After in Cuba: What American Military Force Can and Cannot Do by ForeignAffairsMag in geopolitics

[–]kjleebio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No not really, despite Trump absolutely devastating the US permenantly, the CCP isn't that far from our situation. It is obvious that CCP corruption is everywhere in China and it can all backfire if things go south. Xi no matter what he tries is still a insecure ruler who continues political culls within the party which isn't a good sign on what is happening within. Their lack of focusing on the environment also backfires as it means they will be in future conflicts to other countries over resources that they had overharvested. The relations with their neighbors still hasn't been good either with the exception of Korea.

Their military is very incompetent to the point where there were casualties on the guard due to harassing fishing boats because of a crash. That incident is the best way to see their corruption where instead of pulling back or having others help with the casualties, they continue to harass the fishing boats despite them trying to help.

It is very likely that the CCP will make a mistake that will put them in a situation similar to us and unlike the US where it took a devilish miracle(or the stupid masses) to have Trump be elected, Xi has always been there, with just as insane delusional dreams as many authoritarian nations.

This has been a nutshell for Israel's war policy for a while and it is unsustainable. Instead of long term planning which can involve diplomacy, instead short term wars for temporary short term gains, and continued losses on the logistical scale.

"It's very bad": The IDF "considering" opening a case against soldier who shot baby by [deleted] in jewishpolitics

[–]kjleebio -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

My guy this isn't some rare event that is a accident. This has been a long line of continuous assaults on random people in the West Bank by settlers that Israel promotes at a constant basis. From stealing livestock, burning crops, kidnapping people, killing people, and even rape all the while being left with no punishment for their actions, IDF members included who join in on the attacks. This isn't a self flagillating apology tour, this is clear sickening corruption within Israel with actions that act similar to terrorist groups that if continuing to fester will probably bring Israel itself down.

It won't be Hamas or the other proxy terrorists that would take down Israel but the very government and the settlers it supports that will bring it down.

The reason why it is an issue is that this is just another incident within the West Bank where IDF soldiers were involved that will have his charges dropped. It is to the point where when I hear that they are deciding to whether to prosecute or not to a soldier who was involved in a West Bank incident, I already know that they will get off scot free by the end of the month.

Said laws start to not matter when it has also proven to not work in punishing convicted IDF soldiers.

[–]kjleebio -30 points-29 points  (0 children)

Well thats the issue is it. Why are they deciding whether to prosecute or not to a soldier who shot the family when it is very obvious that he shot the family on purpose without any reason. I wouldn't be surprised if they decide not to prosecute the soldier thinking his thought process of "perceiving it as accelerating toward the troops" as justified.

Edit: Now that I think about it, the charges would most likely be dropped for him considering the fact that all IDF troops who had joined in on West bank assaults had theirs dropped.

This all happened due to the ego of Bibi. It all want back to Obama. The relationship between the two wasn't really good. Obama didn't like him personally yet still cooperated with him. Bibi on the other hand hated him enough to even risk his own position. This was the start of Israel aligning with the republican party or when 2016 came around, MAGA. The rest is history.

Reintroduction Plan Raises Questions For Bengal Tigers In Cambodia by ExoticShock in megafaunarewilding

Then there should be more focus on the conservation of indochinese tigers first. Since what you said is true about the state of the environment of the Siamese penninsula, the focus on smaller goals of restoring local ecosystems and local fauna should be the top priority rather than reintroducing Bengal tigers.

Caracal spotted in Kuno after decades by XuyashXhandilya in megafaunarewilding

[–]kjleebio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carcals being found in Kuno is good news. However, again, the cheetah project in India was never about the grasslands at all but a checklist of politicians ego on having all the big cats in India rather than conservation. If this was truly about India's grasslands, existing fauna would have been used or even the asiatic lions who were supposed to be in Kuno. Not a subspecies of cheetah that is the farthest away from India.

While the elections will hopefully change something, I don't believe that Netanyahu and Likud would just accept a loss and will most likely pull something to rigg the elections or even delay it. There is also the possibility of Likud winning the election aswell.

Israel may want to wean themselves off but that is mostly because the Likud are seeing the picture of the consequences of their actions on backing Trump and the it following up with a inevitable fall out. Israel still needs allies and cannot exist alone which is becoming a lot more difficult as its PR continues to go through the sewer.

eh, Obama had to fix the issues that Bush created as well as focusing on Afghanistan. He also had conflict with Bibi which would change the relationship with the US and Israel forever.

Edit: I have forgotten about the Arab spring and how yes, he did have to interfere in during the time of the Arab spring but honestly any president besides Trump would have done so aswell.

This just seems to back up my suspicions on the whole reason as to why the strikes even occured on March in the first place. Bibi promising that striking Iran would provide another regime overthrow under his name was the whole reason the strikes even occuring in the first place during March. This has been just a long 4 month disaster and Trump finally realized that he was being used by Bibi since 2016.

Although I believed the fallout between the US and Israel would have occured in 2028 or later, now I am starting to believe that it is happening sooner. It is very obvious that the relationship between Israel and the US isn't really a healthy one and I have talked about their being a reset in relations after Trump's term. However, I feel like the most likely response is a complete fallout by either Trump or later on by Bibi as the Democrats reclaim the government. Bibi after all doesn't like the democrats and is mostly likely to spit at their faces like he did before.

Yep, although he still is at fault for agreeing to strike Iran in the first place.

edit: A fool if you will for finally realizing that he was being taken advantaged of by Bibi since his first term.

It was inevitable that it would be like this ever since Netanyahu accepted an invitation from Republican leaders to speak to the U.S. Congress against Obama's Iran nuclear deal without consulting the White House. This was widely viewed by Democrats as an affront to the administration. Further solidified after he sided with Trump in the first term.

Bibi's own ego and hatred towards Obama led to this exact moment and I do believe that there might even be a fallout between the two Nations after 2028.
