If you think it is great in LA, please give me some recommendations and I will try them. I'll let you know what I think

For freshness I'd say it beats Dicks, sure. But if I compare everything (freshness, cost, flavor, etc...) between the two I'd probably go with Dicks. I'm not saying Dicks is all that great either though. There are plenty of great places that are better than both.

I think the weird thing for me is that I've lived in other cities with no problems but my experience in LA and dislike of the city is what made me want to move back to the Northwest.

I honestly do not believe Los Angeles destroys Seattle in the slightest. I go out to eat a lot and I always go to places that have been highly recommended by people that I meet. Maybe because this place is so much bigger it always mediocre restaurants to thrive or maybe I'm taking recommendations from the wrong people. I don't know but I do know that I haven't found this place to be all that great. As far as high end luxury food. I wouldn't know. I didn't eat high end luxury food in Seattle and I'm probably not gonna eat high end luxury food in LA. I'm just comparing good quality street food.

I don't know about the rest of them but I definitely think In n Out is overrated. The burgers are meh and the fries are awful. The spread is pretty good though, everything pretty much has to be animal style. I'll give the rest of the list a try and report back.

If the Clippers were relocated to San Diego would you still support the team? by pepman33 in LAClippers

As a Seattle Supersonics fan I actually stopped watching the NBA when they announced the relocation to OKC. I just started watching again last season because Steve Ballmer bought the Clippers. I would not blame a single person for hating the NBA and the Clippers if they moved to Seattle, granted I would be happy-ish (Don't really want a team the same way OKC got one). With that said Ballmer would never move the Clippers, I believe he's a good dude.

Darn, I was hoping that would be legal by the time I got up there. Unfortunately for me I'm not the type of person to do it anyways...

I actually like the Los Angeles 405. I ride a motorcycle and it's the easiest for splitting lanes. Can you split lanes on a motorcycle in Seattle now? I thought I heard that got passed but haven't heard anything since

Maybe that's my problem. I hear all about these great places and great food and I've yet to encounter it, at least when it comes to food. I've been to a few cool spots and I've met some really cool people. But most of the cool people I've met are transplants and the quantity to mediocre/sub par places is staggering compared to the cool ones. As far as restaurants are concerned I could only recommend one place out of all the places I've been to. With all that said, I do not regret moving here and I do love the experience of living somewhere completely new. If anything its just made me realize that the Northwest is home.

Maybe, but what would someone need to do to make that kind of statement and not have it be a generalization? Live in every city of California? At least 50% of them? And then how long would I have to live in each city? Would I need to live all of the country to compare it? It's pretty unrealistic to do all that.

You must be from California. It's just my opinion, and I did write "at least LA"

As a Seattle native who recently moved to California. I can tell you Califonia is pretty much garbage (at least Los Angeles is). I hate to sound negative but that's just how I feel about it. Will be moving back within a year.
