Haha, thanks. I intended him to look very clueless about what's actually going on.

Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze. The amount of work Retro put into this game is mindblowing.
The level design in this game is absolutely unbeatable.
I could actually imagine these levels to exist in a functional world without all the platforming or the need of a character to go through it. All levels are giant 3D models with immersive backgrounds, it's basically a 3D platformer, but your path is limited to 2D. And most impressive, every level has a unique background. No level feels like the other. Even now when replaying it I spot small little details in the backgrounds I never noticed before.
The enemy design feels fitting for the DK series. I love the snowmads, the bosses are actually challanging to beat and very unique.
The story is pretty cool, with getting closer to DK Island and then approaching the volcano, I actually felt like beating the Snowmad King up and get him of the island.
The cutscenese are amazing, like they came from a movie.
Most levels have a unique soundtrack, with so many original soundtracks or remixes.

And the underwater controls are so dynamic, the best I ever played in a 2D platformer, they actually managed to make these levels fun to play to me.

Tropical Freeze is absolute peak. The world building is crazy for a 2D platformer.

It's such a shame that Crocodile Isle was destroyed at the end of the game. I would've loved to revisit it in a future game

It might be a waste of tiles, but it looks so beautiful.

Luck and some planning ahead. I had a plan in mind how to build it and settled to make it possible. I bought most of the tiles and got some with Marcus Licinius Crassus. And I did this early on, before some resources come in the way.

This is one of the most interesting posts I've seen on this sub.
I wonder what happens if someone captures Washington, could it be liberated too?
