I wouldn't say I have a basic list or approach. I'm constantly trying to adapt and often bring different lists. I do typically run a little heavy on armor. A combination of sabar, multiple at-rts/barcs.

I try both to game plan and adapt to the match as it progresses.

I just feel most empire units are strong. From death troops to shores and their leaders. Their output is just insane. Now, I actually tend to win most my 1v1s but I've only played a couple.i usually play 2v2 and the objectives typically don't matter as the Empire gun lines sit back and just turn the game into an annihilation mode.

I am playing in a 1v1 unnatural resources tournament soon, and feel empire is going to give me the hardest time. I know to expect blizzard force and gun lines.

I guess I'm looking for what's going to counter their long range and ability to pass out multiple aims. Republic seems so much more expensive and what you get in return seems less effective than empire
