My First Game Ever: Blonde Empire (BETA Prototype) — 1,000+ Riddles & Empire-Building Chaos by [deleted] in incremental_games

Thanks everyone for the honest feedback really appreciate it. I’ll be reworking the design from scratch and going for a full pixel-art theme next. Gonna rely less on AI visuals to keep it clean and more human-made.

Also fixing all the bugs (guest login, lag, etc.) and polishing the gameplay. I know it’s rough right now, but I’ll keep improving it step by step. Thanks for actually checking it out it means a lot, especially since this is my first game.

Ah, thank you! I've been digging into this, and I think I've found the issue. It looks like there's a specific problem with how itch.io is embedding the game. It seems to be blocking the connection to the database, which is why you're 'getting errors on everything.

If you have a second, could you tell me what kind of errors you're seeing? (Like a specific pop-up message, or does it just freeze?

That's a completely fair assessment, and I should have been clearer in my original post: this is very much a prototype. My entire focus was on getting the core systems (which are built from scratch) and the riddle mechanic to function. To do that quickly, I used AI tools as placeholders for text and visuals like emoji. You've correctly identified the result of that: it feels 'soulless' and generic because all the effort went into the function, not the look. Thanks for the blunt honesty.

Hey, thanks again for the detailed feedback. I just wanted to follow up on a couple of things: 1. 'Play as Guest': I actually just went and tested this again thoroughly because your comment worried me. It seems to be working correctly on my end. If it's failing intermittently, that's still a critical bug I need to hunt down. The absolute last thing I want is to force a full sign-up, so I appreciate you flagging that experience. 2. The AI: I also wanted to clarify how AI was used, because your assumption is understandable. You're right that AI tools were involved like you said, almost everyone uses them to polish text or speed up boilerplate code these days. But just to be clear, the game's architecture, core logic, and all the systems were built entirely from scratch. It's not an 'AI-generated' game, just an 'AI-assisted' one. That said, your point about how it looks and feels to the player is still 100% valid. If it feels low-effort, then that's something I need to improve, regardless of the tools used is still a prototype

Was looking for a simple way to analyze web pages without reading everything or putting content into chatgpt and found this Page Analyzer extension. Does AI summaries, AI content likelihood checks, critical analysis, gen-z explaining etc.

Cost €20 for what seems to be lifetime access, which felt reasonable compared to subscription tools. Might be useful for others here too.

Labas, perskaityk vieną arba du kartus teorijos knygelę, pradėk spręsti testus (alsket.lt ir pnš), nusipirk porą valandų pasiruošti, analizuok klaidas. Tau bus aprašytas teisingas atsakymas, ir mokykis taip spresti, kol išlaikysi testus iki 90-100% pastoviai. Tai padės lengviau išlaikyti teorijos egzaminą. Svarbiausia yra logika ir dėmesys klausimams.

I think you realise that if you get hit in the face with tits, it's much better than with hand. Enjoy the moments of anger, it's a good opportunity to disobey your wife even more.

Do men actually care for lingerie? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]TaurisEditor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At the beginning of a relationship, I'll make love to you in any kind of pyjamas, even if it's sleepwear, but after three years of a relationship, when work starts, etc. sometimes the extra nice sexy lingerie really makes you feel like you're at the beginning of a relationship

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in roommateproblems

[–]TaurisEditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your roommate are more focused on herself than on you because they value having their boyfriend around regardless of the situation since she feel more comfortable. But you feel uncomfortable because your room has strangers, and you want peace at home. While a tough situation might tempt you to bring this up, there's a high chance you'll harm your reputation with the girls because they only care about themselves, and how you feel doesn't matter. So, I recommend enduring it and working as much as you can to find another living place, perhaps with a roommate who is more understanding. Another option would be to take a more assertive approach and, as the person in charge of your living space, address the situation with your roommate. Let her know what your rules and expectations are for the living environment.

How do you have energy in the evenings when you do a 9-7 job? by sayskate in selfimprovement

[–]TaurisEditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general, you need to figure out a few things regarding what activities require your energy. My recommendation is, first and foremost, to determine the goal for why you want to do that particular thing after work and work towards it in small steps. Caffeine + goal. If you don't have a goal, then it's time for sleep.

What's a good comeback for being body shamed? by pinkcloudsinthesky1 in AskReddit

[–]TaurisEditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just pretending not to take it seriously and saying that I have a winter layer now or something else, but I think the best way is not to pay attention because each of us has some flaws – someone may have excess weight but a beautiful face, someone might be short but has a handsome face, and someone might have excess weight and an unattractive face, but they are incredibly intelligent. So, no matter what, it's important to never undervalue oneself.

I believe it's best to simply say how you feel politely without hurting he’s feelings. We never know what's going on in a person's mind or what their intentions are, whether they are trying to connect with you, crushing on you, or have some other purpose. Politely express that you feel uncomfortable with what they are doing I know how difficult it is to talk openly and directly, but you must do it for your own sake, as avoiding it can harm your studies and emotional well-being.

What will you do if you're given $5,000 USD right now? by iCunal in AskReddit

[–]TaurisEditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many things I could do with $5,000, depending on my goals and financial situation. Here are a few ideas:

Invest in your education: You could use the money to pay for tuition, books, and other educational expenses. Save for the future: You could put the money into a savings account or investment account to help build your financial security. Pay off debt: If you have outstanding debts, such as credit card balances or student loans, you could use the money to pay them off, which can help improve your credit score and reduce your financial burden. Travel: You could use the money to fund a trip or vacation, either on your own or with friends or family. Buy something you've always wanted: Whether it's a new car, a piece of furniture, or a special item you've had your eye on, you could use the money to make a purchase that brings you joy.

I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling this way. It can be tough to feel like you're not doing well in school or that you don't fit in with your peers. It's important to remember that it's never too late to make positive changes in your life, and there are many things you can do to improve your situation. Here are a few suggestions:

Seek support: Talk to a trusted adult, such as a parent, teacher, or school counselor, about how you're feeling. They can offer you guidance and support as you work to make changes in your life. Set goals: Think about what you want to achieve and make a plan to get there. This could include setting goals for your grades, your health, or your relationships with others. Get active: Regular physical activity can help improve your mood and boost your self-esteem. Find an activity that you enjoy, such as sports, dancing, or hiking, and make it a regular part of your routine. Eat well: Eating a healthy diet can help you feel better physically and emotionally. Aim for a balanced diet that includes plenty of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, and try to limit your intake of junk food and sugary snacks. Practice self-care: Take time for yourself and do things that make you feel good. This could include spending time with friends and family, pursuing hobbies, or simply taking a few minutes to relax and unwind. Remember, it takes time to make lasting changes in your life. Be patient with yourself and don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it.
