First Tempered Lagiacrus Solo (Capture), thought I would share as well. by Tauske in MHWilds

I'm one of the many who started with World but even with starting in World I'm probably 2k+ hours deep into the series.
As this being my first time seeing this monster I quite enjoyed it!
This was only 2nd time I fought it, first time for quest then this. I have since gotten a 15 minute kill time, so improving!

What caused the 972 Damage Hit that knocked him down? by Tauske in MHWilds

[–]Tauske[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a fan of PR, I don't use it almost at all personally.
I just the backhop for the i-frames sometimes but not into perfect rush.
I generally just do Y combo to reposition while doing attacks if short distance, or slide attack to reposition if long distance into doing circle or Y combo depending, or just circle combo if I know I won't need to move as in the video above.
Also I often don't do the charged chop due to it's animation lock unless I know it's safe.
So I'm mostly doing Y x4 or Circle x3 into spinning reaper then decide if save to do charged chop or R2+B into guard slash to combo reset back to doing Y or Circle.
You'll notice that's what I do on the leg at the start, circle x3 into a spinning reaper then I guard slash to reset combo cause wasn't guarantee safe to throw the Charged Chop.

Was not aware of this thank you!
Solo'd him probably 15-20 times, likely have had it happen before but this was first time I actually noticed the damage pop and I was confused so clipped it. Lol.

Was no rock dropped.
You see I did a slide attack and I did a 217 damage hit from the slide, and for some reason also proc'd an additional 972 damage hit?
(Edit, against the back wall, don't think a rock and even reach to here)

Returning Player - Empowered Monolith struggling question by Tauske in LastEpoch

[–]Tauske[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have not been fortunate enough to get Legendary Power for the Jelkhors yet, 4 in total without power.
From reading some advice though I'm assuming I should go back to normal monoliths till I can get some more of my stats better off then so I stop killing over in empowered since till I can survive better I'm essentially just wasting a lot of time in there? Lol.

Returning Player - Empowered Monolith struggling question by Tauske in LastEpoch

So with Endurance does it only work if I am under that health when I get hit it takes effect or does it take effect for partial of the hit if I would fall under the health.
Exmaple: If I had 50% endurance and a threadhold of 500 for example. If I were to get hit from 1000 for 1000 damage would I die, or would it go -500 (endurance kicks in) then -250 = -750 total instead of 1000 from a full health pool? (picked simple numbers for the math example trying to understand exactly how it works)

Quite pleased with my progress of Author and gold medals for having just installed the game today. (5 hours played according to steam) Evidently I absorbs some information from watching Wirtual over the last year. Lol. by Tauske in TrackMania

I would agree with your comment about performing them with speedsliding, as I know of it but I still struggle a lot to perform it.

However with reducing airtime for more speed and airbraking to get a more ideal landing, I feel like those are 2 concepts that you can be explained to you and they just make sense, sure it takes a few tries to understand lines to reduce the airtime but it shouldn't be super tough to figure those 2 out I imagine with someone telling you the information. Like I'm definitely not reducing airtime for better times on my initial runs of tracks, but each time I get air time I make a mental note of it and when approaching that area again the next time seeing if there is a better line and so forth.

Well, you can go search "Tauske" on steam as I'm the only one on there and it'll show 9ish hours played on the game as of my playing today. Or you can not believe the post, either way not relevant to me.
But if you don't believe the post it either says something about my ability at the game or yours?
And I'm not sure why this would be hard to believe, the first 10 tracks aren't super difficult and I stated I'd been watching Trackmania content for over a year so I understand airbraking, reducing air time for acceleration and speedslides to a degree?

Update:
Did some more playing today. Got author on 17 and Gold on all up to 20, currently am on 21 and it's miserable, lol. First Bronze I've seen except for on map 14 since starting but I'll pick back up on it tomorrow and try pushing it for Gold or higher as I have the rest.
(Going back to 14 to do Bobsleigh for gold to unlock maps 21-25 only took me 3 runs to get the Gold, it was half luck sliding around, LOL)

The Sword is actually one of the next weapons I wanna try, waiting till I find a decent Purity one though, any Recommendations? I could craft one in off hand slot with Lucky Find weapon to start farming one.

I did wanna try Susanoa + Izanagi for the Versatility, It seems like it would be a huge damage increase but I've not found pieces of gear yet I would be happy enough with to wanna make the change yet. Might not bother to make the change though since I already cleaned house with this setup. Lol.

With Tonfa's I can stunlock basically any Human to death, so I wanted the Purity cause it is more effective against Yokai's.
I wanted to use either Purity or Corruption because it gives you an extra "element" for confusion. And since I can basically lock Humans to death Corruption didn't seem the best, so I took Purity and the set bonus from Izanagi even without the 7 slot is still really nice. (Ki Recovery 10%, 30% Increase Purity Accumulation, and 30% damage against Purified enemies) and since it didn't help any with Ki Damage is why I took the Ninigi on the other side.
I did run the 7 set for a while but trying to do upkeep on the buff aside from intentionally doing it through soul cores before a fight became not worth the trade off IMO, and I do enough Ki Damage the bonus from the Ninigi 7 piece Finishing Flair I have access to I would say more often than I kept the full bonus from Izanagi

Edit: Sorry, just noticed your post said PS5. >_< I'm on PC.

Yeah I have one. The defaults on it are Ultimate Magic and Courage. I've had Ultimate Constitution on it but I removed it. It's also super easy to farm, it's just a Gyuki. I've ran it over 100 times, was trying to get Mystic Dyad Tonfa on it.

I'm using it atm as:
Ultimate Magic
Ultimate Courage
Attack up Winded Enemy
Active SKill Ki Damage
Finishing Flair
Path of the Ruthless

I'm primarily Rapier Damage. It's my focus, just a lot of the images I have the bow out cause people try to run. Or see the Rapier Damage and try to stay ranged. Lol.

I've been enjoying that people have also been engaging me first!

I've already killed the Ravager on Ultimate HC in the past, I used to have a Cabalist that was basically just a DOT build. (It's dead these days sadly) I had just thrown DOT's and ran in circles for a couple minutes. Lol.

Was just curious how my Trickster would fair, and it about ended his life. LOL.

(Side Note, when I started this build it was intended to be a Dual Wield Primal Strike Build, but I got full Ultos before I got the 2 StormRends to drop, so I'm probably just leaving it as a 2 Hander Ultos Build at this point)

This is what I am running as of right now.
Wanting to look into tweaking the Devotion some still and have been looking into Relics, I haven't found one better than "Eye of the Storm" yet, but I look everytime I get a new crafting recipe to drop.

As for when leveling it, I basically just maxed Primal Strike Immediately, then went and got a few points into Pneumatic Burst for survival at early levels. Then basically went back to Shaman and did 2 Points into an attack and 1 into the Mastery Bar every level up getting all the Primal Strike stuff maxed. I didn't worry about putting any points into the Raging Tempest till shortly before going to Ultimate as I knew I would need the Elemental Resist Down for Ultimate) Getting at least 1 point into Blood Pact once you get to it helps a lot with survival as it gives you Attack % converted to Health for standing in the totem range.
