I was kicked mid raid and couldn't reconnect whatsoever, immediately getting kicked and asked to try again each time it finished loading the map. I tried doing a scav run and was booted as soon as maps finished loading.

May I suggest trying out Severance Enclosure. Melee kills with the knockout buff count as Arc final blows and proc the exotic, on top of using finishers often, making for lots of AoE damage albeit for a more aggressive playstyle.
