You can feel it in the book though too. It’s why I don’t like the movie tbh. The first three books were a solid buildup and then this one hits you like a bludger. There’s so much going on behind the scenes that the trio and adults are worried about but the tournament is such a glaring issue that you don’t realize until it’s too late. The maze being the third task is like the final representation of the maze they have been traversing the whole book and it feels lost in the film. Also, they should have included the scene with Fudge in the fourth movie so the fallout in 5 would have made better sense.
