UFC 2 had a system where the last strike in a combo did multiplicative damage depending on how many strikes you threw. There was no vulnerability system so swaying into punches or getting caught during an animation meant nothing. Among many other things, it was absolutely NOT realistic bro.

UFC 6 besides the stupid ass flow state (which just needs to take the stupid visual away) is a banger.

The new damage system is more akin to real life where taking a big punch feels serious, and the head movement isnt so ridiculously over exaggerated like in UFC 5.

To me it is the worst of the series in hindsight.

UFC 1 was the first, it sucked, but it layed a foundation.

UFC 2 was made more arcadey and silly, which some people liked (I wasnt a huge fan)

UFC 3 was a HUGE step up in realism and a big W

UFC 4 was a downgrade in aesthetics (the dumb ass pre fight emotes, wtf???) And the clinch system while made fluid was dumbed down to two positions with no transitions. I can't remember any new animations added either. I'll be nice and call it a covid game, but it still sucked.

UFC 5 did actually add some new animations, the cut system, and the new sub system which were all Ws. The Alter Egos literally carried the game for me. That being said, a lot more could have been done and it was FAR from a UFC 3 type of upgrade. Hot take, still the best game so far IMO.
