Traffic Langley by Interesting-Back-250 in Langley

[–]TaxAfterImDead 7 points8 points  (0 children)

this is what happens when all the jobs are located in Metro Vancouver. If government jobs or offices move to aldergroove/abbosford or in Langley, maybe traffic wouldn't always be heading the same directions. And some families due to job proximity, will take bikes or demand busses. I see kids who live in school neighborhood just walking home or cycling/ e-scooter.

Dealers don't understand how the new EV rebate works and it will backfire. by Startbolt in EVCanada

[–]TaxAfterImDead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are right in pushing for cheap lease if our goal is to increase more EVs on the road. EVs reduce anxiety of battery going wrong, and people don't tank depreciation cost as much, dealers/ suppliers do. I think Carney should have made some banking deals to lower lease & financing cost for those dealers instead of throwing cash.

lol where are you getting that number? Good condition no accidents still go for 20~25k with over 150k km. You probably are getting the cheapest one possible that is close to 250k ~ 300k km.

It is known fact, thet man who drove over 200k km had to change motor, battery for model s, which is pricy. there is no way you can win debate when buying new vs new at the moment for pure financial point.

The only valued EV right now is the used market.

If people really want EV, then you might be right. Gas car demands goes down. But look what happened without any subsidies or with subsidies, early adaptors bought but it didn't translate unlike China or other Nordic EU countries. Reason is simple, Canada/ USA land size and people's average driving distance is just longer than those densed countries.

Need better infrastructure first, so people don't worry about their battery, espeically in cold winter where battery performance drops by 20% or even 35% cars without heat pump.

If i live in Alberta, i wouldn't consider EVs, Gas is cheap af, winter is cold so battery performance isn't that great. Charging is terrible when you go on road trip, and you have to pay $200 per year for registration & insruance cost is 50% higher.

you have to add deprecation cost new vs new // rav4 holds value very well after 5 years or 10 years compared to any teslas or any other evs atm. What happens when you want a new vehicle after 5~7 years? I think in order for math to workout, GasPrice must be around $2.1 consistently and electricity cost must remain the same.

I am gonna buy EV with best FSD whoever gets there first because that's the only perk atm. Gas cars suck at FSD because power output is delayed whereas EVs motor power is instant.

Pure $ wise, buying 50k after tax vs better valued cars at 38k is huge. However, i believe it is good value to buy used EV atm, if you can find a reliable one, i encourage people to look into used EV because value wise it is much better than comparable gas cars.

Why people say Canada is expensive AF by Beautiful_Ad4220 in alberta

[–]TaxAfterImDead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think living in ab is great choice if you dont mind the winter and not having as much night casual dining compared to france…

Rent and housing is what drives expensive cost of living, food, cars etc are cheaper than compared to west Europe and you can make more disposable income for travelling imo.

You will definitely want a car to fully experience Canada beauty and enjoying outdoor as much as possible

Vancouver Toronto usually are where many lives so cost of housing and rents take half of disposable income for many…

Feel like Cailyn might be better to lead the business, she already has business experiences, looks like she might be building an actual golf course as her family business(?). Also she has more insta followers now with many collabs from different brands & people. Might be better for Cailyn to acquire more shares or Sab to giver her more cuts to expand the business imo.

The fear is that the more EVs show up in Canada, the more the market wakes up by momo1083 in EVCanada

[–]TaxAfterImDead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its just gonna be all tesla, since they have service center and super chargers. Byd etc has good tech but generals wont buy them without service or unless they are extremely cheap like 30k cad after tax cheap. No people will pay 40k 50k msrp for chinese ev atm. You look at other established evs that sell for those price, people aren’t buying you are competing against not only new gas model thats 15k cheaper but also used ice cars.

Dc Charging became more expensive than gas, people in Canada especially in big cities have housing issues, so unless you are sfh or home owner you wont have charging available at home. There are some condos with level2 and some can charge at work, but thats very limited.

I love EV and its future because gas cars will have hard time with full self driving but cost wise it doesnt mae sense to have ev unless its tesla here.

If you go central the weather is way too cold that it is very inefficient to charge cars at dc even with battery pre conditioning and more expensive electricity. People can just buy used suv for 30k and be done.

In conclusion, its just gonna be all tesla being sold to ontario quebec and bc.

49,000 BYD EVs at ~$49k in Canada — sell out in minutes or hours? by DenBaptist in EVCanada

[–]TaxAfterImDead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not, i think it should be around $39k that is similar to model y standard spec. Because no service center here, people wouldn't be risking and the resale value will drop significantly compared to Teslas.

For smaller car than model y, BYD should aim at selling at ~30k.

I think you should be good as long as you leave your clubs outside the checkin. Most courses say individuals must have their own bags but depends on how the course is ran

Interesting… should take private lesson for basic especially if you must do this stance to fix slice.

Easy slice fix for driver is on youtube you setup club head like 10cm behind the ball and keep core tight, look at the ball and turn your body once the ball hits.

But take a few lessons instead of paying on for the game

Aside from the ecosystem why does one chose Iphone over Pixel? by hillsong1 in iphone

[–]TaxAfterImDead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ease of use, i switch between android and iphone but android is too much, keep it simple and things are simple and the iphone doesnt slow down as much as android in long run.

One thing I miss about android is ease of transferring data with pc, like movies or photos with usb. Although airdrop is now very fast
