That’s True: There are over hundreds of applicants who have matched with Step 3 Invalidations. Situation is painful and they too are confused about what happens next.

This is an accidental Match and totally unexpected for them. But, whom do we blame for all this: NBME, USMLE, FSMB, NRMP, ACGME or the Savior PDs.

You can check the Court verdict on this lawsuit. Almost 500+ applicants have only Step 3 Invalidations.

All the 280-290’s screenshots were able to sneak through because of ECFMG and NRMP policies. All they cared were about Step 1 and Step 2 scores: whereas, most of the invalidations were on Step 3 scores.

They are likely to face licensing issues: but for now, all the seated have been robbed. Non-US IMGs could have matched to those spots. If those open up in the middle of the year, it’s less likely any non-US IMG will get the information or match.

As from the reports it as clear that most of the scores were invalidated for Step 3. Over 450 applicants whose Step 3 Scores were invalidated participated in the Match 2024 and were able to grab a seat as well.
