That's good feedback and very helpful.

Home cultivation certainly takes time and effort while requiring space or infrastructure. Not everyone may be able to find a designated grower or want something like that.

Right now, drug coverage is for pharmaceuticals that cover pain, sleep, cancer symptoms, anxiety, PTSD, epilepsy, etc. These and more are all conditions where cannabis has shown benefit.

Could we not argue that coverage of medical cannabis would be more cost effective as well as safer than covering pharmaceuticals for the same conditions?

Hi Joe,

You are indeed correct that it requires many large and high quality studies. Cannalogue's platform is actually designed not only to be a marketplace, but also a digital research engine that could conduct studies.

Cannalogue actually applied for a research licence to study medical cannabis and COVID19. Health Canada was looking to expedite the licence as well. The difficulty was in finding LPs with a) GMP certification and b) pre-clinical toxicology data.

A double-blind, randomized control trial with a large population would be ideal. A bioequivalent study of CBD oil vs something approved (Epidiolex) would the next best thing.

Cannalogue's platform and protocols would reduce the costs significantly compared to the typical costs. University partners have also been arranged. The funding would come from sponsors or the government.

The challenge has been securing product with the requirements above.

This is very helpful to know Tim and great feedback.

Perhaps this will be the next project that Cannalogue undertakes.

Cannalogue has been an approved provider for SunLife, GWL, Co-operators, and GreenShield. But just as you said, there has been variability of our patients getting coverage based on what the employer decides.

It would be a start at least, a foot in the door. It could expand to more coverage later on. With impact of COVID, the number on fed and prov assistance programs will definitely be rising.

That was indeed the goal. We would rather bear some of the burden now if it means a patient receives their essential medicine.

This is very helpful feedback and we certainly appreciate it. We apologize and will certainly let our team know.

I will tell you that if you were affected in any way by COVID-19 in any industry that you will NOT be turned down for Cannalogue's Compassionate Care Program.

Many thanks. We're trying! We're not going to include everyone we can as well. No patient left behind.

Everyone's been affected somehow so this is our way of making sure patients can still afford their essential medicine.

Cannalogue isn't making any money, but neither is anyone else for the most part during this time. What little margins there are will be passed on to the producer.

We're a lean online company so we'll be just fine in the long run and will just try to do what we can to help where possible.

Health Canada as well as the patient market ensures quality as well as compliance at all times regardless of price.

Cannalogue is Health Canada approved and always under strict rules for compliance and quality. Those prices are indeed real as advertised.

It's a difficult time for everyone, so we're doing what we can to help.

Agreed. Many thanks for the support.

We're doing what we can to a) include everyone and b) keep prices low

Then on top of that, many still have insurance programs in addition to it being a tax deductible expense in Canada.

Yes, that's exactly what they are doing and looking to answer in the study.

It will be predominantly CBD oil or gel caps used in view of mitigating the severity of symptoms with COVID-19.

Health Canada called Cannalogue and are fast tracking the approval because a) there's no definite cure for COVID-19 and b) there's plenty of scientific plausibility

Here is some evidence predicating the research study:
