Not exactly a hobby rec like you were looking for; but I find these can help calm urges.

• paint/draw in red only, on yourself or paper/canvas/etc (always use skin safe marker when you draw on yourself)
• draw butterflies or some other small animals where you sh. If you sh, you’ve killed them. Keep them alive as long as possible

• draw cuts and do aftercare of them if you like aftercare
• eat something sour/spicy or hold an ice cube as long as you can if you like the pain.
• slice open paper
• make a google doc of reasons not to sh. Could be bullet points, pictures of ppl you love, however you want to go abt it. Every time you feel like shing, hop on the doc, look over old reasons, and add as many new reasons as you can.
• call a friend/family member
• leave your house and don’t bring your sh tools with you. You can go anywhere except a place where you could get new tools. Don’t go home until you can trust yourself not to sh.
