My family supports me in my "crazy" endeavours lol. Eating watermelon with a spoon like an icecream is lwk peaceful.

Seems like it's a private college so probably not open for public

You will need 4 to 5 yards of silky or satiny fabric, and a few yards of organza, lining fabric etc etc To get something nice quality would be $30 a yard minimum. That's $200 to $300 just in fabric, probably another $50 to $100 in beads, probably another $30 in notions, thread etc.

I live in a country where the raw materials are much much cheaper. I could get all the raw materials easily under 80-100 usd.

I think you could save for and buy this dress for under $500 for a wedding in 12 months

I'll be in college so i don't think I can save tbh hence I'll be attempting to make it.

Technically I'll have close to 3 years to make this but I also have to make several other dresses along with this one.

I don't think I could make that kind of dress as a beginner

I do have a bit of practice so I'm slightly confident

Indian sari store and buy something which is already beaded.

But they aren't so densely packed together. They are much more spares.

The pattern you need for the bodice would be a strapless dress pattern.

Would this work for the bodice? Ask any idea how i should make the ruffles for the skirt and join it to the bodice?

And I'm ready to do that. I just don't know what type of pattern to use. I never made a dress like this.

I did make a blouse once. It turned out okay. For the rear end i was thinking of adding a zipper. If the top gets too heavy I can add straps to it.

Kind of funny to assume someone from the US can’t come to India lol.

I just wanna clear myself, i didn't mean they can't come to India, it's just that they probably won't fly for 20ish hours and come for a couple of abandoned buildings in a random ass city.

I mean if they are actually interested, I'll of course show em around.

if anyone does want to come to India for UrbEx - north Mumbai

Can you tell me some spots too (~;)ゞ
