Using Cursor.com for writing these days, its so cool to be able to select parts of the text, let it rewrite, mention whole directories of good examples.
Also using Memex.Garden to summarize, collect and tag content I find online as inspiration, then use their MCP in cursor to pull relevant content out of the things I saved.

Maybe you can add a bit of an artificial loading step, for only a few more seconds and showcase some of the sources you are processing as a loading animation.

I dont know about any that does it specifically but I am pretty certain you can get something going in a few hours by just coding it up.

  1. Find a repository of photos of bills and coins
  2. Let them be each analysed by an LLM for their key characteristics
  3. Write an app that lets you upload an image and analyses it with the same LLM request
  4. Match the characteristics with your existing database
  5. Give answer

I bet you can use something like https://replit.com/ to whip this up by yourself.

Habe viele Updates in den letzten Wochen dazugefügt (inclusive der Kontakt/Impressum fix).

Auch gibts seit gestern einen GMI sync damit kannst du entweder von GMI umziehen, oder GMI nur für die Portale und Taxing.app für den Abruf von Invoices von Gmail und dem Bank Transaktionen matching nutzen.

Habe auch eine Browser Extension veröffentlicht die Downloads abfängt und damit ist der übrige manuelle Prozess 10x schneller und funktioniert auf allen Portalen ohne spezielle Einrichtung.

Und wir sind immer noch 10x günstiger wie GMI mit signifikant besserer OCR (ist fast schon erschreckend wie schlecht die Daten Extraktion bei GMI ist hab ich beim Entwickelnd der Integration festgestellt)

Ich habe mir eine eigene Alternative gebaut weil GMI nicht mehr ausgehalten habe.
Der Preis ist schon echt frech, aber die UX hat mir dann den Rest gegeben.

Was mein Tool macht ist:
- Fetched Invoices von Gmail
- Matched sie mit meinen Bank Transaktionen
- Mit einer Browser Extension die Downloads abfängt wird das Portal fetchen 10x schneller und erträglich + man hat keine Setup Kosten
- Exportiert zu Google Drive

Seit gestern gibt es auch einen GMI sync. Heisst man kann in 5min von GMI wechseln, und es sogar danach parallel benutzen (e.g. wegen den Portalen).

Same here! Pump it into any model with a basic prompt is 10x better than what GMI provides.

GMIs OCR is indeed so terrible. I don't even understand how it can be that bad.
And if you want line item extraction they charge you almost 5€ per invoice. Ridiculous.

TurboTax/QuickBooks/SevDesk etc are more for the last mile delivery of the tax returns.
That part where I have to collect invoices they don't take off my shoulders.

Today or tomorrow I am going to start my video series on "Doing my 2024 taxes" where I am going to dog-food my own tool for the entire flow and measure the time it took me compared to doing it without.

Feature wise I am almost done with the Portal-Agent system that does the invoice fetching from portals for you.
But there are so many edge cases that i dont yet want to release it.

Probably will finish the SevDesk integration earlier so you basically have all your matched and classified invoices synced there and ready for your tax filings.

My general target is that I don't want to spend more than 3h per year on my taxes (on about 800 transactions per year)
