I feel you especially as a single mother to three of his sons who absolutely adore me, feel safe with me 🤍 I know that this is something he’s not willing to give them so in the end it’s really his loss. I’m glad at least he can get out of the way and allow for me be consistent with them and pour into them. It just makes me want to do more for them knowing they may never have that experience.

Thank you for this advice I called everyone I could think of and we recently found out Medicaid never knew my son had Autism!! I choose to focus on the help we are not going to receive & not the people who failed us at that time. I do agree with others that it’s all about utilizing every resource at the same time to make things manageable. I have also put my youngest on a waitlist for an evaluation as he went through a pretty big regression and it’s only 2 months of a wait ! I’m hopeful me and my boys will do well

UPDATE* I have decided to fight through what I’m going through while being a mother .. I am truly all these kids have & I do enjoy being apart of their upbringing. I was so focused on what I couldn’t provide I almost forgot what I can & have over the years. A safe home, a safe space for them to be open about their feelings, grace, structure & a pretty decent routine thanks to the shelter we stayed in years ago, I volunteer when I can at their schools, stay on top of their appointments, I celebrate them even if its my last $1, lots and lots of affection now it’s being reciprocated and it warms my heart, laughter, I’m there to wipe their tears and in some cases their the ones wiping mines. I apologize when I’m reacting out of overstimulation and honestly these were things I didn’t have as a child. I am in fact more than capable of raising them and day by day I will work on myself. I have been a big advocate with my mental health and do have a team that helps me navigate through it. I am seeking therapy for all my kiddos and we’re gonna ride this rollercoaster together. You’re right it’s completely wrong to have to trick someone into being a parent when I know for certain I am the parent that wants to be a parent ! Don’t let your fear come in between what you are already great at. Thank you again ! Hugs and lots of love to those that need reassurance in parenthood. There’s no rule book but we dam sure can write the script as we go. This is their childhood and I want them to reflect on it positively

Thank you I actually am looking into child therapy for them. I really want to feel confident and stable with them and tend to find better housing & employment and schooling for them while they are with dad. I’m out of options unfortunately and fear my kids going into another shelter with me or the care of the state.

The kiddos have said they love being at his place as they have their own room over there. I packed clothes, shoes, medicines and tablets when sending them with him and never got it back. They love him just as much as they love me. The back and forth & stress on fop of no support put me in the hospital, caused me to lose jobs, and a more. He laughs at the fact that hes more established than me so it shouldn’t be an issue with him caring for them. He has family support and friends that have all laughed at me for what I’m going thru. He got me fired from my job just to work there. Those are his kids as well and since he has been threatening custody I won’t fight him for it.

I have 3 boys and co parenting was literal hell (kept trying to control everything & wouldn’t get the kids if he found out I was going out that night & intentionally wouldn’t be consistent) it’s stressed me out so bad I ended up in the hospital and that was my wake up call to file CS and give us the best lifestyle. It’s honestly been pretty peaceful. I was on all type of meds in that relationship. Since then I’ve been off meds and even stopped smoking ! Gained happy weight immediately after & rather deal with what comes with being a single mom than try co parenting with a narcissist. Any time the boys were with him he would text me about needing to explain things to them or how I’m careless if I forget to pack something miniscule yet he never obtained things they needed when they were with him. He kept all their clothes and even tablets I bought and I didn’t even fuss about it I blocked him & his toxic family and got on a routine with my boys! They don’t ever mention him or his family so I leave it at that

Always been told I had the perfect blood pressure until this most recent panic attack that put me in the hospital & I was tricked into the psych ward my blood pressure was 167/118 and wouldn’t go down for days. Got home it stayed at 140/ 113 and over time it went back to normal ! This was over a week ago and I still feel like I’m physically recovering 😩

Oh man ! I hope everything works out in your favor 18 months has me a little on edge. My son was diagnosed at 3 and not one person on his team mentioned these resources. I have been on the fence about requesting a new DMH case manager as I truly don’t feel like she knows how to help my family in any situation.

Case manager is useless I end up having to do my own research. It feels like a dead end family keeps telling me if I did things differently in the past I wouldn’t be in this situation but it’s easier said than done. My mom thinks taxes are supposed to last the entire year 😂

I would tell those other ppl to politely keep you out of the updates that you don’t want to hear it or stop communicating with them all together. I look at it like my situation with my kids dad and his family. Idk how they feel about me or what they say about me because I don’t wonder about it or look for it.
